DISCUSS: Regional Bid, redemption opportunity or prolonging the inevitable?

Well...time to try and force myself, much like last off season to try and get excited over older non P4 players with solid stats.

Also prepare yourself for at least one of Ciscar/DeRias to regress.

The portal could hurt us if the right team makes the right offer to one of our young guys. They may like JD as a person but if you want to improve your draft stock is this the place? I know Cuvet is 99.9% locked in here for reasons beyond baseball but would you fault him if he left to go play in a legit line up and compete for Omaha?

I don't want to be in a regional until we actually play like we deserve to be in a regional. Pretty sure that's gonna require a new ******* coach and staff. JD should never have been hired just like DiMare should have never been hired. Anyone looking at those two hires objectively knows that whoever made those hires should be thrown in a lake like John Wayne did that little kid who couldn't swim.

It’s just part of the disgusting culture in Miami and what I mean by that is Miami, as in the city - Miami-Dade County.

Gotta hire the buddies and when it comes to UM, never fails. Yeah, let’s pass on the Duke head coach for a Miami Bro that doesn’t even know how to recruit the local talent in a talent rich area for baseball like South Florida and the state of Florida in general.
 
I’m surprised they’re still in the running to even get a bid. Nonetheless, if we get one it’ll be a quick 0-2 BBQ.

It really takes extra effort to fail spectacularly, over and over again, like our athletic dept in hiring coaches..

LOL. thats not our job. thats the coaches job. he sucks and was only granted the job as a part of some make a wish campaign

IMO 99% chance JD is back next year. Did the absolute bare minimum but a regional is enough to make sure the do nothing contingent wins.

Back in the day going to light was fun, now it's basically unwatchable. From watching some of the of the most fundamentally sound teams, to these recent teams, with double digit strikeouts, lousy fielding and base running, all you can say is wow.
