Dino Babers is the kind of different the canes need

Don't know what defense he runs but if he can bring that art briles offense to Miami, the defense won't matter lol

I have to question a guy that's been coaching 30+ years and this is the highest he's risen.

LOVE Babers' offense - not my first choice but he'd do really well here, IMO.

Go get Art Briles. Backup the truck if you want that. Long run Baylor is not a great job

just so you know the two best defenses in the country, bama and michigan state, run base 3-4. player speed is more critical than 3-4 vs 4-3.

Dino would be a "ballsy" pick
Not sure Blake has cojones to pull off
Somehow this board would be ****ed off (love it)
Botch not coming back
Go Canes

just so you know, our recruiting base doesn't have the type of recruits needed to run that defense. much better suited for a 4-3 or Louisville on gap type 3-4

How do they manage all that at once? Down after down, Michigan State lines up in what looks like the same basic, predictable front, with apparently the same coverage behind it: a “4-3 Over” front paired with “Quarters,” which is also known as “Cover 4.”2 The 4-3 Over is the oldest and most straightforward front in football, and it’s exactly what fans think of when they hear “4-3,” as it features four defensive linemen and three linebackers behind them. Quarters or Cover 4 coverage is a little trickier. While it’s a zone coverage, it doesn’t merely call for four defenders to drop to a deep zone, as the name might seem to imply. It’s played with considerably more nuance, particularly at Michigan State.

For Mark Dantonio's and Pat Narduzzi's Spartan defense, many of the principles were borrowed from the Miami 4-3 Over defenses that keyed Jimmy Johnson's rise to football prominence. These are backed by coverage principles that tend to think more highly of the staff's ability to train defensive backs than the ability of offensive coaches to field precise passing games. Their philosophy was designed for this level of football.

You do realize that he is black right... Don't act as if black coaches are treated the same as white coaches.

This is coming from a white guy i really think Miami needs a strong Black Coach. Since where not going to go after Dungy this could be a great hire
