Did You Learn Nothing From Chernobyl?

I said it was my GUESS that he betrayed a confidence. But Who knows? Maybe they wanted him to print what he did. Either way, the point I was driving home was that OP is just "showing his ***" by crying like a ***** over what I can assure is REAL INFORMATION.

I am under the impression the trustees knew what they were doing and wanted it to be printed. I agree with your point about the OP though.

NEGGED. None of that BS matters if Miami PAYS
You are right! If Miami has no choice but to hire someone on the downside of their careers money will help them hold their nose and sign.

Yet, no up and comer, who covets a long, successful coaching career, would join this program, even if you put a gun to his head. That type of candidate would be smart enough to study past history and realize that if he doesn't win every game he will sooner than later be mauled by the Herd and left as road kill. And even if he did win every game his reputation would still be sullied by the Herd, a Herd that is never satisfied and must ridicule and criticize to exist.

Negative Ghost Rider. Money talks, BS walks.

Truth be told, I actually gave it more thought once you called me out on it here. :noidea: It could very well be that they wanted Barry to fire a PUBLIC shot across Blake James' bow with that piece.

I'll say this. Under Donna, Blake James had cover. Now he's out there on his own. Its time for him to start justifying his actions and knowing that it's his god damned job to get this schidt right.

Who cares what the Hurd says, he does not like us and never will. If you base your life on what others think, well it will be a long sad life. It has always been us against the world, and I think we are better that way.

You are now worried about possibly losing Richt, and not having anyone worthy of the position. Perhaps a better search might net better results, and don't try to tell me the program could not have found anyone better. I think at $4M we can find someone innovative and energetic that will bring much needed life into the program. Richt was an easy out as a former player, but he was fired at UGA for a reason, and removed from OC duties prior for a reason. Both are rearing their ugly heads here.

This recruiting class is/was suffering prior to the banner. All eggs in one QB basket was prior to the banner. Crowley or bust and losing him was prior to the banner. Potentially losing our silents was prior to the banner. Why did we lose them, no, not the banner, it is coaching, the product on the field and losing. Yet you apparently would rather people sit on their hands and blindly support a coach who has shown arrogance and has been stubborn to prove he is right, rather than change to win. You apparently are okay with a coach publicly calling his players a cancer. You apparently are okay with a coach hiring his son who appears to lack the qualifications to effectively do his job. You are apparently okay with knowing if this class does not get any better it will most likely effect us down the road, especially if we have attrition due to players not buying in, and an overall mismanagement in recruiting by the staff.

If this is what we are to expect from UM coaches, then I am all for rolling the dice and see who $4M can bring in.

It's the end of year three, we are 94th in the nation in total offense and 108th in passing offense.

Canes are right to demand changes, especially when Richt has repeatedly said publicly he does not plan to change his offense or his staff. A good coach would have decided long ago, without external prodding, that substantial changes were in order and would have a plan in place. Richt's solution, which is not a solution, has been to blame the players publicly and then suspend them when they act out for being upset with his failures, his archaic offense, and his delusional intransigence in the face of it all.

And Blake James is a clueless enabler. No AD of a football program serious about contending for national or even conference titles hands out extensions and then sits on their hands when looking at what we've witnessed on the offensive side of the ball and with our special teams.

Our players and their families deserve better, the University of Miami deserves better, and Canes all deserve better. And I say and their families because publicly blaming their kids, as Richt has done, for not executing while not blaming his son for not executing is insulting and to my way of thinking hypocritical.

I didn't mean to call you out in a negative way lol. I was just asking because I thought the trustees knew what they were doing when they agreed to talk to the Herald. To me, I thought it was just what you said, a shot across the bow basically saying we've made it public we want changes and it is your duty as AD to make sure they are made. Almost putting Blake on notice that we aren't going to allow this continue and we are letting everyone know this falls on your shoulders now.

So now Richt is irreplaceable? Why even bother watching if a career loser is our ceiling.

The thing I learned from Chernobyl is that a nuclear power plant needs to be run competently -- kind of like a football team.

I've also learned that there are unfortunate idiots in the world who will try to blame the reaction to incompetence rather than the incompetence itself.

When the reaction to a problem is to burn a business or football team to the ground as the brilliant fix-it solution, ensuring the business or football team will never prosper again, I believe those are the idiots, especially those idiots who aggressively defend that marble-headed approach. You know...your Herd!

If I'm anywhere near a Chernobyl situation, I will make sure to walk behind our receivers as I'm pretty certain
the radiation will bounce off their bodies.

When someone is already destroying a business or football team (or power plant), trying to stop them from doing it and replacing them with more competence is not "burning down" the businness, it's an attempt to rescue it. To say otherwise is either either blatant lying or incredibly stupid.

I doubt that medieval knights could read or write. Back in those days many, if not most, were probably illiterate.
I think the.monks did most of the scribing..tucked away in their little gregorian grottos penning an ode or two whilst watching Brazzers on their iPhones.

I would be curious to know what our O rankings would if you take out the 77-0 curbstomp we put on Sav State
