It's the end of year three, we are 94th in the nation in total offense and 108th in passing offense.
Canes are right to demand changes, especially when Richt has repeatedly said publicly he does not plan to change his offense or his staff. A good coach would have decided long ago, without external prodding, that substantial changes were in order and would have a plan in place. Richt's solution, which is not a solution, has been to blame the players publicly and then suspend them when they act out for being upset with his failures, his archaic offense, and his delusional intransigence in the face of it all.
And Blake James is a clueless enabler. No AD of a football program serious about contending for national or even conference titles hands out extensions and then sits on their hands when looking at what we've witnessed on the offensive side of the ball and with our special teams.
Our players and their families deserve better, the University of Miami deserves better, and Canes all deserve better. And I say and their families because publicly blaming their kids, as Richt as done, for not executing while not blaming his son for not executing is insulting and to my way of thinking hypocritical.
