Did we match up physically?

Forget the fact that Aranda made Richt look like a HS OC. Did our players look as physical, strong, and explosive as LSU's?

I thought our 1's were just as strong as them. The 1 defense is really good. Once the backups come in it's a ****fest.

Gerald Willis and JJ had their way with LSU's OL. Pinckey looked more explosive this year than last (despite missing a tackle).
Our WR's looked really good. JT is a freak, Cager has improved.

The OL held up in pass pro pretty well. The RBs, Rosier, and Richt made them look much worse than they really were. RG and LG need to get on same page, but we did look physical.

That's the best defense we will face all year - with exception to Clemson.
Yes we did.

Team was strong , conditioned all night, and out of position. Last one is coaching.

Thought we looked fine strength wise and athletically. Blaming the QB is the easy excuse, but in our case it's absolutely true. Poor QB play is limiting our offense and putting our D in awful situations.

Yes! Better punting, Rosier hit Offense receivers, better tackling and few penalties and it’s a different game.

We have the size and no longer look like a JV team
Totally agree. We killed ourselves last night. If we didn't have the two penalties to keep LSU drives alive, it was a different game. Malik needs to go though.

Like I said in another thread, I watched the game a few hours after the live broadcast in order to specifically watch the line play and to make sure that the feelings that I had while watching the game live (that we were not out-muscled by LSU) was what actually occurred. After watching the game a second time I was pleased to see that we really did match up quite well with LSU physically and that our problems were mainly due to mental errors or from being outschemed.

No we didn't. Assy Booger said so.

And he told everyone that was sitting next to him as well so it must be true.

It's football, not Mr. Universe. They kicked our @$$es on both sides of the line, 83 yds. on 34 carries tells you all you need to know.

If we had a QB that was capable of hitting a wide open receiver we could have at least flipped field position instead of gifting them a FG every drive.

I didnt see a difference physically. We were far superior at the skill positions, with players running wide open all over the field all night. Even the coaching, which wasn't great, put playmakers in position to make plays. But Rosier, simply, is horrible, and stunting any potential growth of this offense.

We have a schematic problem with our OLine when it comes to running the ball. On our running plays its too str8 forward. No pulling, no cut blocks. Its too easy for a good DC to scheme against. Not many outside runs either. Its mostly up the middle. The best runs we had of the night were to the outside. Also I know we don't go under center much, but why not run out of the pistol. We give the backs the ball in the same spot everytime.
I agree, there is 0 versatility with the run game. It sucks. Than on top of it only 15 carries between homer and Dallas

Yeah, I forgot that he predicted that 4th down sack of Rosier on our last drive which, of course, then totally validated his assumption that LSU was able to assert (or unassert) their physical dominance at will.

Because one play, on an obvious passing down, in which they were able to apply pressure using a well designed blitz is a tell tale sign of total, sustained and unchallengeable physical dominance..

I think lines when talking about physicality. LSU ran pretty much when they wanted or needed. And we could not establish the run. They definitely have better o line and d line than us

Homer had 2 carries in the first half. You fall behind by 30pts when you ask a bad QB to do things he is incapable of

This is also true.

And by asking him to do things he is incapable of, I assume you mean, like, completing basic passes to open receivers.
