We blitzed. Sent some edge pressures and DB blitzes. Didn't really have to do much. Duke's OL was basura and we seemed focused.

They used an interesting formation in obvious pass situations with Roche at 5 tech, Phillips right next to him at 3 and a blitzing linebacker at 0. Their guards had no chance against Phillips.

On third and long I noticed that we used a lot more four man fronts than the normal three man front that Baker likes to use. That made a huge difference with the amount of havoc we created in the backfield. Playing Jaelen Phillips at 3-tech on a few of passing situations was also a nice wrinkle.

Yes. Often in fact. Don't know who's teaching the DL stunts, but they should be selling hot dogs. If it wasn't for my desire to see better, it would be You tube comedy.

Which doesn't necessarily mean Baker won't blitz anyway, but to his credit he quickly realized he could get persistent pressure with 4 and didn't overdo it for once.

Some of the blitzes weren't that noticeable because the Duke QB got the ball out in the flat really quick, and we had defenders squatting on those routes.
