Up front by Clemson?

I don’t think so at all.

After Manny got away from his soft zone we got stop after stop until we turned the ball over 3 Times giving them short fields.

We forced multiple turnovers we couldn’t secure.

They ran 71 yards on 41 carries averaging 1.9 per carry.

Miami has 10 TfLs and 4 sacks.

I know Clemson was fairly conservative in 4th quarter, but their backups QBs were still throwing the ball some.

Clemson’s DL ate Miami’s lunch though. Helped by the fact Rosier could t hit wide open WRs.

We struggled all season on the OL getting a push.

Bigger problem is all season we got stops in the RZ in didnt last night. It was Duke or UNC or FSU’s trash OL we were playing. Different level. Cant give up long drives to good teams and let them live in the red zone. Reminds me of ND when they played Bama in the title. Their defense all year gave up yards and let teams in the red zone but then would hold; until they faced a truly elite team and then got their **** pushed in.

Manny had a bad game. Needed to set the tempo by getting Bryant on the ground early. Instead, we did exactly the opposite and he carved us up. Odd since Pitt did exactly the same thing. Hopefully he goes back to getting after the QB for 60 minutes in the Orange Bowl.

Don’t think they got pushed around. Just outschemed especially early on in the game

Did not get severely pushed around but I thought Bryant made some very poor choices on the read option. Several times he handed off when it was wide open for him to run, and a couple of times he erred in reverse. Bryant is steadily improving his passing but doesn't have the instincts of some top college quarterbacks in that type of system. That helped keep the rushing numbers down.

Yes. This game was lost at the line of scrimmage. Some of it was just getting whipped. Christian Wilkins was lined up over Donaldson. It was asking a lot of 55 to have to go against arguably the best defensive lineman in college football. There OL also got tremendous push in the run game against our DL. The averaged better than 5 yards an attempt. I agree that playing zone helped their QB mightily. That was a terrible decision on Diaz's part, and it allowed Bryant to get comfortable. On the offensive side of the ball we opened few wholes when the game was still competitive and gave Rosier little time to pass. That was true for the whole game. Rosier played poorly, but our offensive line was dominated.

Very disappointing as I'm sure u know Clemson better than most they are a fast starting team.. we came out too conservative esp on 3rd down dropping in zones .. by the time defense decided to show up with game plan they were up multiple scores..

At that point venables is able to get aggressive and their offense can operate comfortably. We never even challenged them. They shut it down extremely early

Until Miami has a NASTY offensive line, Miami WON'T be among the elite of the elite- one of four playoff teams. hUh. Yikes.
