Huh? The line has been fine. He’s not going to play.
He hadn’t been cleared physically to practice, so that is the only thing he was missing. Meetings he wasn’t restricted from. Will be good for him to get reps and training in practice, but I don’t expect him to play at all.agreed but being cleared may mean he has more access to team/meetings/practice etc... not sure exact rules on what cleared players verse non cleared players are allowed to do during season.

You sure you Have you been watching The University of Miami Hurricane games and not the Miami University RedHawks games....The line is FINE ???
In comparison to what ??? A high school team ?
mid he hasn’t even been practicing and didn’t have a spring or summer program what do you really expect him to contribute?
Kid wasn’t physically ready to be a day 1 contributor to begin with. He will get some reps in scout team and give Roche and Phillips some good reps hopefully to help them all get better.
We need to stop relying on and thinking that true freshmen OL are going to suddenly turn this into a strength of the team. That’s fine and understood but to say this Oline is fine is ludicrous and if he’s cleared he should get reps the last 4 games if nothing else.

What games have you been watching to say the line isn’t fine? And what makes you think a freshman will make any better? The line has allowed 1 sack, the offense has rushed for over 400 yards in two games, in the UL game King was holding the ball for an average of 3.8 seconds, and they have good size with great condition. 4 penalties on the line through 8 quarters of play with one of them being BS. So, tell us... what makes you think the line isn’t fine since you’ve been watching the games. You sure you Have you been watching The University of Miami Hurricane games and not the Miami University RedHawks games....The line is FINE ???

Agreed, but the tackles have not been the problem this year. Jarrid Williams has been good. Campbell has been less consistent. So the two options are either put a true freshman at LT or move Williams to LT and then move Walker in at RT. However, that means multiple moving pieces, taking away a strength, and killing any form of continuity. Plus Walker has either not been cleared or not fully practicing, and by all accounts, Walker needed a RS year to get stronger anyways. This year's OL may not be the 2001 line but it is a far way's off from last year's abomination.Agreed but when your upperclassmen mostly suck they’re the only hope you have....Help supposedly is on the way and I ,along with every Cane Fan, should be counting the days until they get here.
