Did COVID-19 Give Diaz A Pass?

We play Alabama next year, ****. I remember they scheduled that in 2017 and I was pumped, not so much anymore... if we don't improve dramatically they are going to do to us what they did to USC a few years ago opening week, ****
True, but that’s only one game, and a OOC game. Miami could lose bad to Bama but rebound and still win the Coastal. You will be disappointed if Miami has to beat Alabama to make 2021 successful season.

Yeah sure. I mean, you try breaking in a new offense with a new coordinator and QB without any practice time before the season.

It's a gift.

One of my countless endearing qualities.
Lol, you got put the **** out for your endearing qualities. To answer your question, No.

But more importantly, what does or doesn’t do Manny in is not the virus. What ultimately gets him canned this year is the fact he did not address the defensive side of the ball with any firings, and the deserved it. I believe this is going to create division and bad feelings amongst the team. I want to be wrong, I don’t want to see another season like last, but I got a bad feeling about this upcoming season.

In a vaccum, defensive firings were not warranted when you consider how poor the offense performed in 12/13 games. The year before it was the punting game putting them in unfavorable positions.

I don't think you answered the question, but...

What is your specific concern(s) on the D?

What will cost our Canes Ws with the defenders?

Sadly I think a lot are underestimating how incompetent we are at the admin level. As soon as spring was canceled he bought himself time

Ehhhh lol. Sh**ty coaches fail with good staff and personnel every year. I wouldn’t classify it as “no way”. Nothing is out of the realm of possibility after what we saw from this team last year.

Finally we have a bad coach to complain about after his first season.

In his first year, 2019, he ruined a well oiled machine built by the 5 coaches before him over the last 18 years.

He had the audacity to talk about good stuff happening even though he knew all along he inherited a terrible O-Line, and he tricked us by purposely hiring a crap offensive coordinator to get the minimum out of a suspect QB room.

Now hes trying to trick us more by replacing the 3 worst offensive coaches with coaches that have very good resumes. He is also tricking us by having a well regarded signing class and portal folk in spite of the 2019 debacle.

Of course, if you look at the roster he inherited, and all the high draft picks of the previous 5 years, there is no excuse for having a losing record and losing (most embarrassing ever) to FAMU. Oops, this paragraph I actually was talking about Howard Schnellenberger first year in 1978.

In any event...keep up your Noble vigilance.

I didn’t lol, My concerns are that the defense had some dramatic flops in games last year that cost us a couple of W’s. My two cents is that Baker should have been canned at the least. What is gonna cost us games is that Manny stands a decent chance of having the team quit on him again. I hope I am wrong.
