Diaz should be fired for mis-use of Franklin all year.

Was Thad really that impressive today? Glad they used him but I didn’t see anything special. VT was exhausted by the time he got in…Hoping he’ll show out in the next two games…
Going into the year, a majority of posts about Thad for this season were putting a 6’ 230 lb out there when defenses were gassed, or exactly how he was used today.

Just saw what Could could have been. Dude could have closed out multiple games!!! A shame!!!
but the slurpers said it wasn't so? Even last week when some of us brought this up for like the 800th time. "they can't pass block, don't know the playbook" bla bla bla. Some of us don't trust the coaches and don't believe their reasoning for playing certain players.....the thing is we're ALWAYS proven correct.

Pretty sure dude showed up out of shape and was missing early morning stuff and put himself behind in his development.
Wow, not surprised most of the people who liked this would also love to fellate Manny

I’d rather keep 4 on the field running like he did on that TD run..I’d rather have Don not get injured followed by 23..and I’d rather have the o line being good enough that whoever the ball carrier is doesn’t have to make a move before he gets to the LOS..I’d rather thad show up to camp in better shape so he doesn’t have to spend the first 2 weeks of fall camp tryna get in shape…I’d rather us not embellish garbage time runs
lmao, talk about missing the point

Franklins build reminds me of Sammie Smith.

Happy as **** that he seemed laser focused on not fumbling during that last possession.
Begs the question: was this situational awareness by a smart football player or coaching?

Leaning towards: A as B seems unlikely.

If you had to list all the fireable offenses that Nanny has had since he’s been here this is what the list would look like..

I like Rooster but short yardage !!! He ain't it. Just too damm small.
His Oline isn't doing him any favors. They completely lose the line of scrimmage in short yard situations. They are constantly dominated and manhandled in those situations. It's almost like they haven't been coached to bow up in short yardage situational football.

Bruh our secondary has not been good with the young guys..they’ve flashed their talent and battled for sure. They’ve also gotten beat and had some MEs...and our best WRs have literally been the guys we started the szn with. Rambo, Harley, smith and X
Ours secondary was a hot piece of **** with Bolden, Hall and the others. The kids may be struggling but at least they are getting experience instead of experienced guys stinking. And yes Rambo may be our best guy, but i consider X and smith "young guys" given we could be playing others that haven't been good.

But not using Knighton or TVD was fine. Losing to terrible FSU, UVA, UNC, and FIU teams was fine. Thad was the fireable offense.

Honestly he looked pretty slow to me
Looked stuck in th emud when he caught that pass against FSU. He's not a Miami caliber back imo. He can have a role as closer in a monsoon but unless he does a 180 (as in lose 180 lbs) with his body I don't see greatness.

Really hope Thad gets going the next couple of years.

November would be great being able to say Happy Thadsgiving to all across the land

I was talking about the secondary mostly. And I agree with the experience factor. The young guys have blown assignments, missed tackles just like the vets. They’ve also flashed denialble upside too. This thread was about Franklin who came into fall camp CLEARLY out of shape. Missed practices tryna get that up to speed..gets in during absolute garbage time makes a couple 5-6 yard runs..and here we are saying he should of had a major role..I was asked would I rather have rooster in short yardage..for this SZN absolutely. He’s the one back Healthy rn who doesn’t need to the line to be absolutely perfect. He runs hard and has proven he can pick up those yards..let’s give Thad this RS and hopefully he comes back to spring ready to compete
