Like come on now people now people now.

This guy is responsible for 2 of the largest rushing performances against a defense in the history of football. At 2 primetime schools.

Like honestly think about that for a second or 2, and if you are slower comprehending things, take a couple of minutes to think about it.

My god in heaven help us

Way to late for him to fix this. We’re talking about learning fundamentals, which he’s either neglected or can’t teach. He’s not fixed that in 2 weeks.
Exactly. A natural follow-up question would be isn't that what camp is for Coach? To teach fundamentals?

Almost like a politician.... I wonder if Manny knows any?
He's not a Head Coach.. but he has good qualities & has the gift of gab (recruiting players & coaches). He would have been a good hire for AD oddly enough.

We berated Golden for 2 gapping. But every defense needs gap control, the reason why our players on d always look out of place is they are not being thought anything about contain or setting the edge. We have a free side of the field and the End is stunting inside of the tackle, someone has to make it make sense. And to how often we do it, thats not players free lancing, thats being coached into their play. Which is then whats making the players frustrated as well. There is nothing sound and fundamental about what we are teaching the players, and its showing up at the most technical positions, the OL and the front 7.
But it's how you beat the doors off Duke but also lose to a bad Ga Tech team

They tackle tires in practice.
Everyone tackles the tire. My question is do they use other methods, heavier bags, shields, etc.
Do they work on these skills in the off-season?
Have they ever hired in a rugby coach?
Is there a staffer dedicated to "finish" ?

except for one small detail... he missed on his DC and both OC's he hired.... I am going to say the only help for him is Saban rehab... not even sure if Saban would take him... It might hurt his rep for helping former coaches

I don't tackle tires.

I think tackling angles, which is coming from a lack of thought being given to contain is a more pressing issue than tackling tires or the ***** machine. Our players give no thought to angle of pursuit. Its like when i was in 4th grade and u had like 50 kids on the playground at recess and we all were chasing one soccer ball. None of us thought, oh let me take this angle and cut of the person with the ball. We were all running behind the ball and trying to tackle, running into each other and falling down.

what a giant douchebag .... this guy is clueless about coaching .

He’s living out his 1980s Miami Hurricanes wet dream. That’s what is behind the jewelry and the throwback jackets for recruits. He has no substance and can’t coach worth a lick. Hes like a character from a movie when you see their imagination and what they would do. That’s what this is for him. The whole thing is living out a fantasy of what it would have been like to coach the Miami hurricanes in the 1980s. He’s got all of the corny slogans and chains and rings but none of the substance. It’s so child like that it’s disturbing.

Discipline, winning, tough practices; none of that matters because it’s all about the fluff for him. That’s why as corny and awkward as the TD rings and turnover chain are, he always brings them out. It’s all he really cares about.

It’s like a guy that opens a restaurant because the atmosphere is fun but he refuses to work on the business aspect of the restaurant.

If they were counting missed tackles they must have been using a calculator. They ain’t getting any better the rest of the season. What you see is what we got. No excuses.
