Diaz on offensive firings

We still haven't seen his hires yet. But these guys were his friends. Guys he spent thousands of hours with and developed relationships with. Yet, in the blink of an eye, fired all of them because he recognized that there side of the ball was detriment to overall team success.

This is why I have faith in Diaz. Because in the first time since the end of the Shannon era, we have a coach that seems like he's not going to let personal feelings get in the way of the team.

Willie Martinez was forced to be fired by the administration. UGA's admin has more stones than Blake.

Noticed that Richt never even mentioning firing his kid. Why is that?
 
As a coach with HC aspirations, I have to believe Manny was making mental notes on all the things he WAS NOT going to do as a HC. Richt sure provides a lot of examples.

Nepotism being one of them, and not letting personal friendships get in the way of success.

I still want to see how the staff shakes out, but serving as the HC and advising experienced DC and OC is a huge step in the right direction.

This is all 100% accurate

There's no way Manny got this job unless Blake told him the whole offense needs to go

It seems that way. There's a reason why Miami was ranked Top 10 nationally in ALL the college football magazines and was selected to win the Coastal, again, and face mighty Clemson in the ACC championship game. Go figure.

Richt fired everyone on Golden's staff. Even his secretary. Let's see if Diaz is able to fire his own hires when he needs to.

I don’t think Blake felt the whole offensive staff needed to be replaced, he’s a dude of half *** measures. I believe Blake told him “there’s some changes that need to be made to the offense” and Manny looked back at him all confused and replied “SOME????”
