Is Tate being heralded base off his hs career and/or QB1 documentary? I thought that D1, P5 football was a whole different animal than playing on a loaded hs team. Tate has spent 2 years under Myers and Day and all but did slim to nothing, but this board crucifies qbs at um for doing nothing under the worst qb/oc coaching in cfb. Simply put, judging our qbs under the richts is unjustifiable. Stubbornness ruined cmr credit for evaluating and developing these guys.
Im really trying to see what Tate has done or showed since entering college to validate all the hype. Im talking about the same qb who ran from comp with Fields and who could only muster up highlights in a meaningless rutgers game. Help please, im trying to see what you guys see. When Ostate blew out Michigan did Tate get in there and showcase his skills with that great qb guru HC he developed under for 2yrs (not).
Man, i hope Tate is the "real deal" and makes this team that much more deadly...but why can't perry and williams step their game up and either one shows that they are simply better than Tate under better coaching. Threads are tearing down our qbs under the richts and hyping up a qb i have yet to find any evidence that he's prepared to face uf.
If he gets his waiver, gets the nod against uf and ***** the bed; then what? You calling for the true frosh out of Houston, next man up? Im just a fan trying to see where i should be hoping Tate gets his waiver and we should go ahead get our tickets for Charlotte and maybe CFP.
