Diaz on Joe Rose show 9/21

Bubba Bolden was everywhere Saturday night, yet he only self-critiques. This is a GREAT sign.

Guys are realizing they could have put that game away early but f**ked it up because of concentration penalties and attention to detail.

We’re starting to see accountability among the players.
Bubba was gassed too as he played way more than in game 1 and had to play tons of 1 on 1. I think he played great but he'll play even better going forward when he gets in better game shape.

Rose started out talking about how much fun it was to watch despite leaving a couple touchdowns on the field
Talked about what Rhett Lashlee did offensively and how they held back versus UAB
Talked about being 1-0 in conference and how it’s FSU week
Talked about Kong’s play- how he was in control of the game- talked about the Mallory 3rd and long- how after the penalty wiped that out they converted the play after the penalty and that’s when they took control of the game
Said that play sent the message that this was different
Talked about transfer portal and Borregales- and the 57 yard FG- said when you unwrap the present might as well see what it can do- talked about how jacked up it got the football team- compared it to where they were a year ago with the kicking game
Talked about changing Manny’s mindset about kicking long field goals and how it gives you a different dynamic- it’s all about winning more than performance
Talked about missing PAT’s and short field goals and how it takes the wind out of teams sails
Talked about difference in first half defense and second half defense- said it was disappointing- said technique broke down up front with stopping outside zone- specifically TE bs our DE and how our eye discipline broke down
Said backend break downs were eye discipline as well- said team had a hard time getting everyone’s eyes in the right spot- summed it up saying they couldn’t sustain focus for over 60 minutes- never put the nail in Louisville’s coffin
Talked about Cam Harris- said he hopes he plays against FSPooh- said Harris practiced last night- said his hard work on the weight room attributes to his long runs and not getting caught
Talked about bubba bolden’s game- how he was everywhere- said bubba texted him yesterday and that bubba was sorry he played so poorly- said offense felt the same way- said Everyman on the roster knows there is room for improvement- said he’s excited about whole team wants to get back to work
Talked about love Lashlee received from Herbstreit on the broadcast- manny said offensive staff did a great job finding holes Louisville had in coverage- said they had a chance to hit Brevin’s play earlier in the game that they hit at the end of the game- said Harris’ play was just a inside zone that he busted outside
Talked about the 11 penalties- said they did physical discipline last night- said aggressive penalties are okay, but was really disappointed with concentration penalties-said when they don’t get penalties on offense they are hard to stop-said crowd noise did affect team
Talked about Gameday coming down and gave coach speak about how records don’t matter- things can change quickly- have to earn the right to stay relevant in college football- won’t pay attention to rankings
Said fans that are allowed in need to be loud-
Said Miami players are judged by their records against FSU
Rose mentioned about how it seems they learned from last year- Diaz said they have great respect for how hard it is to win a football game- have to start from scratch every week- said they haven’t accomplished anything yet
Great cliff notes my friend. Did Manny comment on what has become a systemic issue with ACC refs allowing Miami to be held all game and we’re talking about blatant dang near pulling the jersey off holds? It’s feels like ever since 2016 this has become the norm and it’s not right and something needs to be done about it.

This ranking means absolute total CRAP! Ouch. Good ol' boy. There's too much football left in the season and the Big 10 hasn't played a game yet too!! Enter mighty Ohio St. and it's little brothers Michigan, Minnesota, Penn. St. and Wisconsin. huh?

But if that's what strokes and puffs up your big cranium EGO. Then more power to you and carry on. duh.

Nevertheless, I expect Miami to be ranked in the Top 10 the week following the rivalry game with U Know Who. duh. Which means two Top 10 ACC teams playing in Death Valley and ANOTHER Game Day show in that redneck good ol' boy/girl Grump loving small town in Carolina Sud. What.

Much ado about nothing.

For instance, the Miami, Florida Hurricanes have ALWAYS gotten the shaft from ref' crews! That was as an Independent or in the former Big East. And now the ACC. Enter the infamous MIAMI RULE adopted by the NCAA because of U Know Who. lmfao

Nevertheless, ALL of those legitimate Top 10 Miami teams were able to defeat TWO OPPONENTS back in the day! Yes.

So, hopefully Miami will get back to their glory days of defeating both their opponent and the ref's!!

It's not my poll dude.

Anyone else surprised they practiced Sunday after a Saturday night road game? Thought they'd have the day off.
Say it ain't so. Nevertheless, it's an in-state rivalry conference. game. So the player's need more additional practice rep's and all that.

No. They didn’t touch on that topic. I wish Rose or Krantz would’ve brought it up, but they didn’t.

It's gotten ****** ridiculous man. Those holds are as bout as blatant as it gets and has been for years. On that one cutback Hawkins scored on Jaelen was getting held so bad his shoulder pad had got exposed smh

MUST clean up the penalties...

****, it really ****ed me off rewatching the game. The refs literally tried to hand the game to those inbred f@ckers. Personal fouls, running into the kicker - although hitting the kicking leg, hits out of bounds - only called against us, and the the blatantly holding calls only called against vs. the Canes. Ridiculous!!

The good thing is, that I believe this team gets the message, they will have to not only beat the opponent but the refs too. No win will handed to them. Like JJ said, "You can´t leave it in the officials hands". It has been like that for decades now and maybe will be like this for a long time - and maybe that´s a good sign - cause it means that Miami is still relevant but man, was it obvious to see last saturday.

I agree. And receivers need to step up in a big way. They left a lot out there on the field. Need to concentrate and focus. Hope Payton return for FSU.
