He should've left the offensive staff in place until he had his OC signed and seal. The staff would have been texting recruits during the dead period and keeping Miami involved in their recruitments. Firing them early on the assumption that he would have his OC immediately was naive on Diaz's part in retrospect. The dead period ends tomorrow and we'll have no offensive coaches to recruit. Smh

Woooowwww.... man there is a special level of stupid going on around here anymore.

So Diaz was going to keep his staff in place while actively recruiting their replacements? And they weren't going to catch wind of this?

If anything, firing everyone made a much larger positive impact on recruiting. Kids will see a fresh start with a clean slate. Won't have to worry about coaches playing favorites etc..
Maybe you're right, but wouldn't you want to maintain contact with the recruit? Just my thinking.

You do know it happens all the time with coaching changes right?

As someone previously mentioned...

Diaz doesn’t contact hurts with no OC in place.

Why not? Diaz is the head coach not the OC. Its Mannys job to get the best players available that fits the offense he wants to run
