So what you’re saying is he’s had a top 50 offense in 13 out of 15 years and 6 times in the top 20
That is what the numbers show. I think we should shoot a little higher than those numbers. He also has only had 2 top 20 offenses in the last 6 years. He didn't even have a top 20 offense with a 1st round NFL QB. The last time he posted a top 20 offense Seth Litrell was calling the plays. I will be interested to know whether he can maximize the talent we have on offense and develope our QBs. Can he also get back into the rythm of calling a game. He could be rusty the first game or so, but he won't have a warm up game because we play the gators the first game. I do think he should be ok on that front, but you never know.

He's definitely going to need help recruiting, because he's not known as the most personable person. I do think it is a good, but not great hire. If he is the choice I hope he knocks it out of the park.

Something to be said about finishing top 10 in offense 2 years at UNC. Definitely inconsistent though. Concerning he didn’t have better rankings in the weak ACC.
One need to look at context and what was going on with those teams. UNC had all the suspension s and injuries the last two years. And to say that he's inconsistent, pick the best OC in the country, whoever you think that is, and do the same thing. I bet you see similar variations. For example, Leach was the first that came to my mind:

19th in O efficiency in 18
37 in 17
29 in 16
40 in 15
77 in 14

And that's from inarguably one of the best offensive coaches ever. Baylor was 56 and 80 on 2010 and 2009 with Briles. The teams that are consistent are your Bamas and OSUs where theyve just got players that other teams don't have.

Man, some of our fans are simpletons. People are trying to rip Fedora for not having a top offense when he had a noodle arm quarterback, white receivers, and a walk on tight end playing for him. Most of us are old enough to remember how North Carolina offense gave Clemson defense problems when Fedora had division 1 talent. Give this guy our roster next season, and there will be major improvement.

So if I get this right, we should only get an OC who's never been fired and had the number one offense for several years in a row. Also must be ace recruiter, know South Florida and fit in well with Manny.

Would be an unbelievable, homerun hire. Fedora can coach, teach and run solid offenses. Aggressive style which fits what Manny wants.

Let’s go!

Be careful JJ. I just got negged to death for not liking Fedora in another thread. And I literally watched all of their games for five years prior to last year.
I didn’t see that thread so what are your thoughts on Fedora’s offense? Outside of 2015 the numbers don’t jump off the page at me but I feel like I’m missing something based on the responses in this thread. Edit: would still like to hear your thoughts but I’m definitely warming up to the idea after reading this post: https://www.canesinsight.com/threads/larry-fedora-a-closer-look.143582/
