Diaz is supposedly a top candidate for Miss State job

Likely they will want the Ohio State guy first, but for Diaz it would be hard to pass up HC salary vs what UM pays its asst. coaches.

perfect. hire a guy who has what was supposed to be a top 10 front 7 and currently has a defense ranked in the 80's

Misleading title. Could be in play. Not that they have been contacted or are in okay. Names to keep an eye on.
And insane, I guess you haven’t been paying attention. UM is paying its assistants. It’s not comparable to head coach salaries, but the days of UM assistants leaving for lateral moves are gone.

I hope Manny isn't leaving town this week to interview. We him scheming for Clemson 24/7.

Would be safe to say we have no shot without Manny this weekend. His halftime adjustments have been arguably the most impressive thing about this team all season long.

Go find the actual tweet and look at the replies from Mississippi State fans. They want no part of Diaz.

I'd be cool with that. we're 41st in the nation in defense. Miami is supposed to be top 10

Third time I'll say this - it will be incredibly difficult to pull Diaz away from Miami at this point.

This isn't a money issue - there are some things that Miami provides for Diaz and his family that no other team in the country can or will be able to provide.

I hope MissState fans don't find out Manny was a member of Penn State's staff during the Sandusky era.

//am I doing this right?

Kul should be moved to DC if Diaz leaves (highly doubt Diaz is high on their list).

I believe that 100%. I just know how the game is. If Diaz is making somewhere between 800k and 1.1 mil a year from UM, and Mississippi State offers 4.2 million it's just not much of a decision.

If you coach at one of these bigtime places for 2-3 years, especially one in a low cost of living area, your family is set for life. Mullen hated the **** out of Gainesville. For a couple extra million a year, you'd be amazed what people will put up with.

man it hurts my head when posters are this clueless

it hurts my head when a guy says that VT is statistically better on D than Clemson

cfbstats.com

better is what you perceive it to be, VT leads clemson in more categories, and arguably categories that matter more.

I said Clemson was more Talented, VT better.. that holds true because stats don't lie

This is not true. Todd Monken, Tampa Bay Bucs OC is the top guy for that job and will probably get it.
