Diaz discusses fallout of UNC loss, home opener, and recruiting

LOL! Loss both badly? JT doesn't fumble; we don't allow a 4th and 17... we're 2-0

BUT

LETS FIRE ALL THE COACHES!

Smart; logical fans on this board.

Look at this loser cane fan trying to dumb down the expectations! I pity you ******.

Losing to your rival anytime ever = BAD
Losing to a team you have more talent than = BAD

Do you get it now needle dyck?

Is it just my imagination or did Miami's defense go from being one of the worst in the country to being a top 10 defense. All under his coaching?

Lets just fire all the coaches

This is his defense. Every player on the defense was brought in under his watch. His hand picked coordinator. His position coaches. His system. This isn't another rebuilding project. Win the crappy coastal or GTFO and take Blake James with you.
This what I’m talking about here my friend. You don’t rebuild a defense you were freaking in charge of for the past 3 years. Fools on this board are like we got to give manny time and he needs to get his own players and blah, blah, blah. News flash, there are his freaking players and if there not good enough for Miami then that’s his fault. And if you think he’s going to be able to fix that with recruiting then your a fool as he and his defensive staff were the worst recruiters on the team of a failed regime. That’s why when Pete said the cafe Bustelo bros after Richt retired as a hint that it was between manny and Mario I was praying it was Mario because atleast he can get the jimmys and the joes. And that’s one thing manny sucks at. Dude I’m so ******* ****ed it’s not even funny, I literally wanna fight manny.

Against mostly Trash offenses. You forgetting what the backup QB at Pitt did 2 years ago? Fast fwd to freshman QB from UNC.

List for me the top 50 offenses in total and scoring that his defense has shut down.

Exactly

You want to fire him or members of his staff for losing TWO road games by a combined 7 points?

Look at this loser ****..”on the road by 7 points”. That he had 6 weeks to prepare for & still lost.

He should’ve never been the HC. He’s not going anywhere so fire his staff.

You are a moral victory loser. You’ll take your wife back even though she sucked someone else dyck as long as she didn’t juggle his nuts & made it home for dinner. FOH

It is. No different than how the 4th and 17 issue was never really addressed either. That was sooo bad, what could he say except to dive into the faith he has in his DC. ****, the scary thought is that he might have signed off on that ridiculous set.

You can’t blame everything on the defensive staff for the defensive failures. There’s a natural drop off when you lose veterans like Jaquan, redwine, Mike Jackson, Willis, Jackson. Those guys were our best defenders and most experienced.

That being said, as coaches they have to find a way to solidify the defense. I hope to see improvement as the year progresses.

Lastly, the defensive staff is virtually the same as last year and the prior two years. Not sure why people are complaining about their coaching acumen now when they weren’t before. They definitely leave a lot to be desired on the recruiting trail that’s for sure, but in terms of Xs and Os and coaching them up let’s see how the defense performs as the season wears on.
What you described is the problem. Why did baker call a **** delayed blitz on 4th and 17 with inexperienced players susceptible to mistakes?
IMO, he took a very unnecessary gamble and came up snake eyes when a simple dime cover 3 or quarters cover 2 would have sealed the deal. With everyone lined up at the 1st down marker, the UNC QB would have no choice bit to throw short and hope his man breaks a tackle. Simple.

Do you ever post anything that doesn’t attack someone? Can you have an opinion without name calling or trying to belittle another poster or looking for a fight? I get it’s been frustrating and disappointing but there’s no need to be so aggressive with other posters. I know you’re a coach and have connections around but there’s nothing in the way you use this board that lends any credibility to anything you say.

Agree but that’s one play. I’m talking the staff as a whole. I’m not exonerating the coaches, I fully blame them on both sides of the ball for the UNC loss. My original point was that people have to look at who we lost in the off season and understand that there was going to be a drop off in execution. Even the best of programs like Clemson and Alabama experience it when they lose their best players.

How about...."we ****ed up.." OR
The wrong call was sent in...OR
This DB took the wrong angle..OR
We weren't prepared OR....

Just about anything versus completely pretending like it didn't happen or have a huge effect on the outcome of the game.

The field goal thing bothers me a bit.

If a guy has a low trajectory on his kicks, it's not new. He probably does that in practice. So you can help that by bumping the holder back 1 yard to give more clearance. Holders sometimes do that on longer field goals knowing the kicker has to kick lower to get the distance.

None of those coaches are going to call a specific player out to the media like that. He did say enough to imply that the secondary screwed up. And basically what I got from what he said was the play worked earlier in the game. That's obviously why it was called again. The second time the guys didn't execute it well and it was a bust. It seemed to me they believed in the play which won't make many people happy.
