Diaz delves into Signing Day additions, other offseason moves

I wish they could've gotten 1 more elite LB that's my only knock on this class.

Fire Enos
Kept virtually entire class together
Hired Lashlee
Fired Barry
Brought in Justice
Replaced Stub with Likens
Landed #1 offensive, defensive and special team portal players, King, Roche and Borregales
Hired Ed Reed
Closed with Dunson and Smith, then shocked the recruiting world while embarrassing the Turds by stealing Tae Williams.

Am I missing anything?

Either way, it's been a **** of last 40 days.

But now it's time to start winning, or none of it matters.

Key takeaway is that Manny reads these boards and has taken all of our advice other than firing himself and blake, but stay tuned and keep up the solid advice.

Run 80 plays per game Lashlee.

Teams not keeping up with Miami Running 80 plays in the heat and humidity.

You will see some explosive 4th Quarters.
But we say why so many safeties? If our dudes are out there a lot and it’s a spread offense we’re facing then substituting guys that are constantly making plays and running from sideline to sideline also makes sense.

"The number we wanted to hit at WR grew because of the amount of snaps we expect to play on offense, so we felt we had to add a guy.”

This is the part that really jumps out at me, and it’s really hitting me, that we’re going to see an offense like we’ve never seen Miami this season.

Expect us to see us run significantly more plays per game this year than we ever have in our history.

Like the offensive staff. Still not thrilled about the defensive staff. Seems Diaz thinks that unit is elite and they really aren’t.
Patke needs to go but other than who can we really say deserves to get fired over the defensive performance . its not like we have a defense that is absolutely loaded and they completely underperformed . There’s been holes all over the D for a couple years now

And I just don’t see defensive assistants, especially top tier ones, jumping to go to a place that fired staff members that produced a top 25 defense *stat wise*

"Have to give a lot of credit to Blake James and Jenn Strawley to go get a guy like Ed, get that deal done." - Diaz

interesting how he deliberately mentioned james and strawley by name. normally, a hire like that would not call for a shout out to the AD, and some buffed up mid level staffer. no real reason to do so. it's like thanking the script girl when you win a golden globe. this indicates to me the powers that be inside the hecht know both strawley and james have been royally ripped on this board and elsewhere. someone is definitely sensitive to the heat.

Manny is still Manny to me and what alot of you guys need to realize is that winning the offseason is much easier than winning the actual season.
We won the offseason last year and CIS drank that all up happily, then we went out and lost 7 games.
He hasn't won me over yet until he starts winning on the field as well.

Manny needs to be firm with players who want to ***** around and dip their end of the ship below the water line. He needs to take away their playing time, let the next player step into the role no matter how they perform. If the next player performs, it good growth. If he fails and the team loses, the brunt is on the offender for letting the team down, and let it be known as to stunk up the joint.

OCCC.......methinks they better come through on this premise, or the sh** will hit the fan......
We are pumping up our anticipation, and I hope it is justified........
The product should reflect all this on the field.

We can never have a deep enough OL bench.............we need that... now........... if we are going to play hurry up.....guys got to step up, and maintain the tempo.

LFG! What a tease. My big takeways from the 30 second clip:
  • Zach McCloud will be the leader of the defense and maybe the team. Dude has a big time opportunity in front of him. I'll never forget watching his HS tape and thinking he would be better than Shaq and Pink... maybe this is the year.
  • Keontra Smith with the cornrows! LFG!
  • Robert Burns looks like he's made out of a lab. Dude is jacked.
  • Other guys I noticed: Xavier, Gurvan Hall, Blades, Zion, Harvey, Cam Harris.
