Diaz comments on team after first scrimmage

You can twist and turn that 71% many ways. Here's one. Someone hit 80% another hit 70% and another hit 60%. The guy that hit 80% would seem to have the clear edge unless he went 16-20 for 110yds and the guy that hit 60% went 12-20 for 175yds.

We do know that there were no big plays so more than likely if one QB was well above the 71% he has the edge.

you are so right here and I'm just trying to stay hopeful and positive with regards to our QB play which will dictate our success. Now that being said, maybe we onlt had 13 pass attempts last night. Somebody threw at least one INT at St. Brendans?

And for the r
Be done. You’re spinning. My comment was Manny said it was #TNM, and he meant it. The QB they go with will be whoever they think gives them the best chance of winning on the field, not biased by your emotions or someone’s ‘paper resume.’

I firmly believe Enos and Manny have and will handle the QB audition appropriately. Whoever is picked I am all in on.

For the record, I wish Jarren would take a huge step up and win the job. His ceiling is the highest.

Yet another fanboy ****ing contest about how so-and-so should win the QB competition.

Y’all ruin every thread with this horseshlt. Give it a fūcking rest.

This thread is about the overall scrimmage.

NO QUARTERBACK WON THE SCRIMMAGE.

Even DMoney, said one had a very slight edge. Yet he wasn’t even there. So it’s second or third hand information from him. From a person(s) who may have their own bias. An Dmoney’s already said before he thinks that his guy already had a slight edge. But to top it off, he even admitted it’s still a race. No one here knows. No one here was there.

So guess what. No QB has been crowned. So stop your catfights about the starting QB. It’s no one yet. You’re ruining the thread

****... My bad bro. 😅

I was just trying to engage these guys before it turned into a convo about how "Tate ran away with scrimmage one..." I think dialogue and conversation is healthy, especially when people don't see things the same. But I feel you though.

i think that convo is healthy if we had numbers and factual evidence to back any of it up. just blatantly saying he won the scrimmage bc diaz said X factor as a throw away coach speak on the joe is borderline insane. people have chosen sides in this QB race and its mde everyone construe one word into a fortune teller reading tarot cards

You sure about that? Dmoney in the past have attended plenty of these preseason scrimmages

Have you seen Tom Brady lately? Dude has jacked himself up a little and said that his goal this offseason was to bulk up to set the example in the locker room I’m his 40s and be able to absorb the hits better.
So he's finally more muscular than the kicker, good.

As for the talk about weight room translating to on field play for quarterbacks, look at some of the best to play. Joe Montana, Peyton Manning, Aaron Rodgers, Brady, etc. I wouldn't call any of those guys physical specimens. The one thing they all have in common is they know where to go with the ball. They know the defense better than some of the defensive players.

Just because a guy is a weight room warrior doesn't always mean he's going to be great especially at the QB position.

So tired of the "comeback" victory. He put us in the position we were in with terrible play. He then throws the worst pass to the wrong receiver who catches it off someone's helmet yea great job. Not enough between the ears to play at this level

I'm as critical of Perry as anyone, but come on.

If we win like he did we will take it.

you get the point tho? its a little insane to say a dude has this or that based on 3 year old footage or a couple throws in a 50 point blowout. in practice, he hasnt shown much separation or even out performed the others. well see next weekend tho since that should be the end of the comp. my hope is that htis week, one of the 3 out perform the rest and run away with the job. we need someone to take over this comp.

1. Tate won almost every weekly weightlifting award
2. Enos and Manny have consistently praised his level of maturity and how much extra time he spends studying, etc. haven’t heard the same type of praise for Jarren or Perry
3. On paper to date, Tate has the better resume in my opinion
4. Manny was here for Perry’s screwups
Weird, I see this list and everything is praised except his performance on the field. You know how is he at the art of throwing a football? You know what we recruit QB’s to do? Reminds me of when a co worker tries to hook u up with a friend and she tells u she has great personality,

how is tates resume better? he just isnt proven so he hasnt had much of a chance to fail or succeed (as is jarren). it helps that tate is older and on his second school vs jarren who is coming off a freshman year

You just lost a little credibility with this statement my friend. Aaron Rodgers is one of the best athletes to ever play the QB position and is an athletic freak. Go back and watch the some Cal games and you’ll see him running all over the field, out running dbs. Dude is a legit big time athlete.
