Diaz coaching the bowl game

So he won't even be there until after the new year why do it now and ***** our recruiting and final days before the early signing period? So you got screwed so you want to ***** us yet again? Go away.

Go to Philly, announce you are leaving we lose multiple recruits in hours, and then want to come back and coach again here? NOT A **** CHANCE!

He wasn't even your head coach. This is more of an indictment of Richt than anything else. Geoff Collins leaving put our entire recruiting class in jeopardy, not just on one side of the ball.

I really don't understand why this is such a difficult concept.

He was the 2nd highest coach on the team and the position coach for Brooks. It's not a difficult concept, because you got screwed doesn't mean you need to slash and burn another school. Not a hard concept is it?

If he is coaching the game here, he can't be out recruiting for you until after the new year why announce it now?

Should make our defensive guys have that much more motivation. I would love to see them totally shut down Wisconsin. Probably going to need to win the game anyways

Dudes, Dicht probably won't have a DC penciled in until March. Glad Manny is coaching the bowl game. What else we gonna do, have Banda play DC? C'mon now. I know we're already running amateur hour on offense, but we can't make Vegas take this game off the board altogether.

I think this is more about leaving the door open for a future HC job at UM. Otherwise, makes no sense. Well kind of. I guess since he will recruit SF kids to Temple, he figured he might as well coach the bowl game since he'll be down here recruiting anyway.

Because you don't let a coach that schit on your last major OV weekend before early signing day and losing recruits over it come back. Leave his *** in Philly.

The lazy *** is still alive and well in CG...
.. we are losing the only living portion of this corching staff...

Having said that, he must be taking a few of his staff with him... could explain why he is coaching the bowl game... wouldn't want to leave them without coaches at such short notice.

C'mon man. I get where you're coming from, but it's not Temple's job to worry about our program. They needed a coach and they hired who they thought is the best one for them. Has nothing to do with ******** us. It's just what happens in CFB.

End of the day, Richt is the one who ran Manny off. If we had a top 25 offense this year, we'd probably be playing in the CFP, or at least a NY6 game, Manny would be a lot happier here, and wouldn't even be considering a job like Temple. Fact of the matter is, it's not Temple's fault we're losing the guy, it's our own.

Those recruits were leaving regardless.

Brownlee been gone

South dade kids were rumored to decommit from a poster on the tos who personally knows them

Solomon was known to be decommitting soon

Only surprise was brooks

and Ivins just ran a piece that said Brooks contacted Patke and staff this morning and apologized for handling the situation badly. They decided to let him and his family come on teh OV this weekend. No one knows right now what he is doing next week for sure

I don't care about Temple, who ran who off. I am saying if your intention wasn't to even start the new job until after the first of the year and after coaching the bowl game, then why announce it now and ***** up Miami's recruiting class, last OV weekend, and last push before early singing day. I'm not even mad he took the job, and he deserves it I never said anything other than that, but the way this was handled and the timing of it. No thanks stay in Philly and try and keep a lot of angry fans and players from leaving because they didn't want you before you worry about coming back here to coach a game again.

He is a kid and we have high expectations for these commits about how they should handle themselves. Sucks losing him. Maybe he stays when he sees what his other options are.... we were loyal !

I disagree with the last part...people want to get promoted...Being in a CFP this year wouldn't change the fact that Manny isn't the headman

The upside of hiring a staff full of young coaches is that NONE of them can really challenge you on anything, the downside is that NONE of them can immediately step up to OC or DC level.

It's why CMR never gave any thought to letting anyone on the O staff call plays, and it's why Manny is staying on to coach the bowl game.

True, but he wouldn’t be interviewing for Temple while getting ready to play for a chip. He’d be looking bigger. It’s not really debatable. Just like if we weren’t 7-5 he wouldn’t have been left off the Broyles award list.
