You could make a strong argument that Miami needs several starting caliber transfers on defense: (2) DE, (2) LB, (1) CB.

Diaz will be going into his sixth year at Miami where he's had complete autonomy to bring in his type of players. So what does it say about his recruiting/scheme/talent evaluations when going into his sixth year there's a need for transfer help everywhere on defense?

Get ready to be called a mope and have stupid stats thrown at your face.

Diaz and his "relationship" based DC are bad talent evaluators, schemers and coaches. "Your regular season and bowl records tell who you are". No other stats matter.

Until we can recruit in the top 10, don't expect it to change much. We get a mixed bag every time. For every Greg Rousseau, there's a Christian Williams.

Manny’s and Rumph mindset that we could put safeties at CB cause the CBs MUST be able to tackle needs to change. You HAVE TO be able to cover somebody at some point.

it’s one thing to miss a tackle on the edge and the guy gains 6 yds instead of 3 because of a missed tackle. Its another thing to have WRs constantly running by you cause your too stiff to turn and run with them that allows a 50-60+ play .

we’ve missed on sooooo many good CBs that have gone elsewhere because the two Idiots in charge think they’re too small or too short is ridiculous.

Terrible player evaluations. Too many misses from out higher ranking recruits.

LB has been atrocious, I mean that's supposed to be his thing right. We didn't have next man up to replace Shaq and Pinck.

2016: McCloud left, we had the dude playing DE in his last game, says it all.

2017: Steed bad luck of injuries, Wilder seemed decent before injury, Carter should have been LB instead of S, Derrick Smith probably been better at LB, Jennings.... This class are supposed to be thee guys right now, nothing.

2018: Nada, Joyner a DE playing LB, serviceable mabye

2019: Huff, Brooks, young-shown flashes.

2020: Tirek Austin-Cave/Flagg still young, showing some promise.

That 2017 class is what is killing us right now. Shaq and Pinck would have busted UNC guts on those runs. We don't have that to depend on. Who's fault is that?

The LB positional evaluation is embarrassing. The recruiting classes are all a bunch of projects, with NO sure-fire starters brought in during the last three cycles. Not a one.

He also ignores size in evaluation. We looks small in the front 7 -- LB especially -- and it shows when we get pushed around by the likes of UNC. Having speed/aggression is great, but at some point you need thumpers, too. Football is a physical game.

I hope he is successful as a HC but he wouldn’t be highly sought after as a DC for a major program. I’m not even sure his LB position coaching has been good.

He’s poor at recruiting, evaluating, game preparation, keeping team focus and coaching. The “U” sells itself which has helped him with the portal.

Hes not a GREAT recruiter...probably avg there. He is bad as a talent evaluator at his position (LB)

Him, Baker and Patke are all bad LB talent evaluators. It's incredible that's where they all started out. They inherited Shaq and Pinckney, and have brought in marginal players since. Worse, they don't know how to develop the kids with athletic ability they do bring in.

Coming off a 6-7 and the guy secured a Top 15 class and then another Top 10 class before a game being played but bad recruiter

Want to look at a terrible recruiter? Mike Norvell

Talent level is trending down.. Go watch his first and 2nd year highlights and watch how looked with Golden players.. Not sure how and why he cant sell players and his gimmick scheme has been figured out in conference.. Our best players we transfers.. And he doesnt care to even recruit corners..
