Devonta Smith?

Smith is not exsplosive down the field and he's not a big enough to go over the top of DBS I think he will have a Travis Rudolph kind of carrier witch is not bad.

i see a guy whos fast not explosive.......and at this level speed wont get u pen by itself......his route running is *** and his breaks r ***. at paradise they show him catching and running routes and it looks like everything was deep. he smart to go to bama because the running game gets u open.......when u watch juedy thats a five star imo he is fast his release is ridiculous like cooper his route tree is elite if he has u on an island and u cant jam him ur done. smiths release isnt as explosive as juedy he gets off but u can put a body on him without fear........this is just when i watch it its how i see it , if he comes to miami i wont be mad i just would hope im wrong.

maybe im wrong n maybe hes legit but ill trust my eyes and maybe time will tell.........i would love to know what [MENTION=2]DMoney[/MENTION] and pete thing of smith and juedy
 
Smith's a really good player. He is not Jerry Juedy, we can't compare everyone to Juedy, you can be good and not be as good as Juedy.
 
I've followed recruiting for 20+ years. When we think a guy is strongly considering us but EVERY OTHER SITE rarely mentions Miami, it almost always means that we have a false perception about how much we're really in the game.

There are exceptions. We were darkhorses that surprised the national media with AQM, DJ, Corn, and a few others, but it's rare... and the fact that he's from an SEC state makes me even more pessimistic. We'll see but I wouldn't hold your breath on this kid.

He wasn't all that impressive in the camp series but he looks nice on the field with pads on.
 
I think it's a two team race between us and Bama. We should be the easy choice if he's serious about early productivity and playing time, but it's tough to convince youngsters not to follow the front runner even when it would be in their best interest to do so.
 
That Smith kid is smooth. Would be nice to get him and Judy. More than likely will not get any of them.
