Devon Dampier Utah QB

Very similar numbers as far as TD's to Int's and yards this year compared to Leavitt's 2024 season and on higher completion percentage (63.5%). He's more D'Eriq King than Cam Ward but wouldn't be upset about this at all.
a good comp probably will be Trace McSorely

This guy had a monster season and would be a clear upgrade over the current QB room.

2,500 yds passing, 800 yds rushing. 34 total tds (24 throwing, 10 rushing) to only 5 Ints. ~65% passer. Top 10 QBR.

Can we win a championship with him? Probably not unless he improves his passing. But we would be an odds on betting favorite to get back in the playoffs. And I think we could win a game or two.

Would be a great pickup.

Honestly, we don’t need a Cam with how we’re built. It’s like UGA and Bama. A Stetson Bennett or a Greg McElroy who can be efficient and not turn over the ball would have us undefeated imo. A Cam level player would be awesome but necessary? Not with how we’re built right now.
We don't need a Cam Ward but we also don't want to end up with a mid QB. You also have to take into account how the defense/offense will perform without some of it's best players next(this) year. I'd rather get closer to a sure thing, Cam, than bet on trying to replicate the same formula.

Dampier can’t throw so no
Cam was also a turnover machine prior to Miami. Guys are allowed to improve and—while his playcalling is sometimes head-scratching—I feel Dawson has earned the benefit of the doubt the last two years with Cam and Beck.

And while currently not the passer as those two guys, the defense would 100% have to account for his mobility, which would open up more opportunities down field. That's an element we didn't have this year.
