I haven’t seen a lot of CFB except Miami so I’m not a quarterback expert but he’s a pretty dynamic player who’s run for close to 1000 yards the last few seasons. Utah was 4th in scoring offense and 5th in total offense and he’s the reason why. When we were all forced to watch B12 football down the stretch hoping for Utah and BYU losses and came away by him. He’s very helter skelter but exciting. Honestly I don’t see much difference between him, Sorsby- who he thoroughly outplayed when they went against each other and Leavitt.

In a lot of ways he’s a more dynamic version of Haynes king.

At this point, if we offer and he accepts, I'd welcome it with open arms. He could be really dangerous with our weapons and OL. We may can get him at a slightly cheaper price than what is reportedly our "offer" to Ty.

I follow Michigan pretty closely also, so started reading the Utah board about Wittingham. Their 2 insiders are literally as rational as some of the crazy Finebaum callers. It was pretty obvious that Wittingham was bringing Jason Beck as well as other coaches with him from day 1 but they were in denial the whole time.

Hm. I found the fit odd with Utah, always felt like they could a Pro Style QB more so and he wasn't thrilling as a passer out of New Mexico.

But his mechanics are fairly good, ball gets out clean, just lacks that absurd arm strength. But very mobile and you can do far more things vs Beck.
We’ve gone to a ton of shorter pass plays with Beck and he’s been very successful with it. ****, we’ve even seen Beck be dangerous with his legs the last couple games.

I see no reason why Dampier couldn’t improve upon this formula.

Dampier and Beck were actually a package from from New Mexico. There was even some speculation that he’d go to Michigan especially if Underwood left. The New Mexico offense was pretty good also when they were together.

I’d be shocked if we don’t bring in a qb. It might not make our mopes happy but I’d expect someone.
Honestly, we don’t need a Cam with how we’re built. It’s like UGA and Bama. A Stetson Bennett or a Greg McElroy who can be efficient and not turn over the ball would have us undefeated imo. A Cam level player would be awesome but necessary? Not with how we’re built right now.
