NFL Deshaun Watson

Amazing how these two allegations and lawsuits appear out of nowhere, and supposedly two others without lawsuits, yet. One a year ago, the other back in August. All this time has passed and now lawsuits are filed.

I'm not going to be hyper-critical here. I'm just going to point out that, no, not every bad situation in life leads a person to march into a police station 5 minutes later to file a report or to find an attorney to file a civil suit within 5 days.

Bad stuff happens. Sometimes people are traumatized and it takes some time for them to process what happened. They may also gain confidence and courage if they find out that there are others who have had a similar experience and are taking action as well.

That is NOT to say that's what is happening here. Only to warn about generalizing about how people process a bad experience and/or move on to legal action.

Lots of guys post on this board who are quick to say "if something like this happened to me or one of my family" and then go on to list a whole bunch of actions that they are certain they would take, and all within the span of 48 hours. Real life is often quite different, though.

I'm not ready to form my own conclusions yet, but the number of people reporting similar occurrences...is not good...and rarely bodes well. Not specifically related to Deshaun Watson, but there are way too many dudes who watch way too much PornHub and are way too much under the mistaken impression that these massages turn into *** far more frequently than they do.

Some reports have indicated that Watson may have texted one of the women with some sort of apology. From an evidentiary and/or PR standpoint, if that's true, it won't look good for him. Another person was flown in from Atlanta. Again...looks...strange...it would be one thing if this was a longtime personal masseuse of his, but otherwise...it might look like a guy with too much money who is trying too hard.

What I would like to hear (but have not yet heard) is some sort of rationale from Watson as to how he evaluated the masseuse qualifications of these women. Until then, it just looks like he was going for...variety...

Let's let this play out. He may be a great player and a basic good guy off the field, but these reports are not exactly headed into "exoneration" territory yet.

I totally agree! These accusations are really going to backfire on these acuser if they are made up. It's hard to defend yourself when accused of such heinous criminal acts. And for it to be kept silent for so long and if not previously reported make it even more difficult to arrive to the truth. But what makes this suspicious is the timing.

Looking at it just from a neutral standpoint, I feel for any women abused and violated. I also feel for a person who's being wrongly accused of suck a crime that is very difficult to defend yourself of. But I really can't understand anyone knowing the truth in any case allow someone to be dealt with falsely. May the law have no mercy on their soul!
Yes, forgive me, but I, too, feel tremendously for any women that has been abused or violated, especially from entitled rich pricks, who have rarely been told no in their lives. However in this case, it just does not seem like something Deshaun Watson would do. I have absolutely no love for Clemson, but this guy has always been a standup guy.

Fair points. Let's also not forget, at one point Bill Cosby was "America's favorite dad". And that was decades after he made jokes about slipping aphrodisiacs into women's drinks ON HIS COMEDY RECORDS.

Watson decides to not honor football contract. Watson does not honor masseuse code of conduct. Easy line to draw.

Is this going to turn into mob vs mob? 👇

I would imagine the "personal conduct" clause is going to enter into this fray...

So it kind of feels like the Texans found a way to keep Watson around.

For some reason everything being thrown around about this guy and the masseuse (or two), just feel like fake ****

Watson has always been squeaky clean, aside form the money Clemson gave him. Lol, but this just seems like too perfect timing for this to be real. He's been adamant about leaving, and the Texans have been adamant about him playing. I think he's being strong-armed by a crooked *** system, to keep his *** in Houston.
Curious, do you know Watson personally? I don't, so I would offer those who do not aren't in a position to know if he (or anyone) is of good/bad character.

History is filled with, "... we are just shocked that he [insert overly lionized figure] was a serial killer!..."

Again, the public always seems to forget their "relationship" with [insert lionized figure] is ALWAYS one sided.

People are always judged base on character and first impressions. I can make assumptions just like anyone else, because it is normal. If it wasnt than I guess things like interviews wouldnt be necessary.

As a matter of fact it is commonly done on this board in regards to players / coaches / etc. Even your example proves as such. I didnt make a statement based on fact, neither should I. I made it simply based on public opinion, and I think ill continue to do this, because I have met some very good people this way, and dodged some bullets as well.

Show me a hero and I'll prove he's a bum.

That said, he should settle his cases and move to Miami to rehab his image and win a Super Bowl.

Agree 100%.

My initial posts were when the story was two massage therapists complained of inappropriate behavior, not criminal behavior. Now the story is getting darker. We’ll see how it plays out.

Still not trending in the right direction...

Funny how everyone thinks Cuomo is automatically guilty, but Watson is automatically not.

I thought this was probably a money grab too, but once they start piling on its kind of hard to think that way now. There are 12 complainants now, hard to think they all conspired together to end his career.

LOL, so all Buzbee has produced are vague text messages from Watson asking a masseuse does she massage glutes, and a vague apology about Lord knows what.

Where's this smoking gun that Buzbee has spent the last week beating His chest about?

What a joke, I hope Watson countersues the **** out of their asses.
