Derwin James #3 overall pick in Kiper's lastest Mock?

Every time I was watching a game they played I either didn't notice him out there for a lack of plays or he was the guy getting picked on. Another FSU bust. what else is new?

THis settles it, I'm positive he'll be donning aqua & orange by next May......only the LOLphins would take this guy top 10

I wouldn't necessarily be a doubter of anyone in their secondary. Florida State's pass defense is excellent, much better than anything they've had in years. I would say they are easily the most underrated major college team in the nation right now, since pass defense has huge correlation to national honors.

Note the 2017 leaders and how it aligns with the top ranked teams. That's why I always list pass defense as the most important variable toward winning a title:

I agree Central Michigan and Florida State are being way overlooked by the playoff committee. Both have are excelling in the high quality loss category, too.

I wouldn't touch him if I'm the Dolphins picking somewhere around 10th overall. What position is he? Corner? Safety? I've seen him get burned a couple times and lost in coverage against the likes of NC State. Plus he has a bit of an injury history.

there going by potential and other NFL guys around him, they have to be going by intangibles. There assuming his game improves with the right mind at D sort of like a Landon Collins thing. Someone will take that dude in the first round even if he had an awful year. Hes looked lost all year and hyped up alot, he can and never will be Sean T so they better stop that **** ASAP

I highly doubt James is picked before Fitzpatrick in terms of safeties, but I don't see Jaquan going higher than either although he can be a better pro than James.

James is going to destroy the combine, and that's all NFL scouts care about. Fitzpatrick is the safe pick at that position though.... I'd spend a top 5 on him. He's like Jamal Adams and Malik Hooker all in one. Too bad the Dolphins invested top dollar in TWO strong safeties, as they likely won't draft a free and will continue playing T.J. out of position.

This guy is a tweener. The plays he makes are around the line of scrimmage. He's more linebacker than safety. You rarely see him make plays downfield.

Derwin James is a poor man's Sean Taylor.

More like a broke man's Sean Taylor.

Actually, more like a bankrupt man's Sean Taylor.
