What's hilarious is that the article about Derrick Smith commiting to USC mentions they also got a commitment from Bubba Bolden at safety. And Derrick promptly decomitted from them.

I think he went to Illinois because he's afraid of Bubba and Illinois is the school (among his 4 finalists) furthest from Mr. Bolden!

He came from a major high school football powerhouse in Trinity Christian. His high school coaches know all the college coaches If you don't think his high school coaches werent calling every connect in their book I don't know what to say.
 
I was looking forward to watching Derrick, disappointed he left.

Amari Carter should be able to fill Jaquan's role with his smarts and physicality. I think Bolden will surprise some folks, primarily me, and I'm looking forward to seeing what we look like once he's in the rotation.

DBs from his HS are encouraged to go Big 10 it's actually smart move
