I hope in walks of life you make up your mind beforehand and stick to it. I'm guessing it's easier to just be a ***** and judge others.10-3 seemed like a positive before the season after 2 years and a sub .500 record and yet after the fact it was worse. No, I'm not optimistic. I expect to be disappointed and the kicker to all you faqqits is that if I'm wrong I will celebrate it more than anyone. So please go **** yourself expeditiously!

10-2 is worse than 7-5? I don’t understand how that’s possible. You felt worse this summer than you did last summer? I was in ******* shambles last summer. We went 5-7 and 7-5 and Mario made some really poor decisions in 2023. At least last year gave me some optimism headed into this year. We see the team and staff is capable of doing something positive, even though it ended disappointingly, again. You’re entitled to how you feel, it’s all good, I just can’t really wrap my mind around how last year was worse for anyone than the first 2. Getting close and the rug still being pulled out, I guess?

Idk, a lot of this board says Mario is a total caveman and is useless as a coach. I’ve seen a lot about “Mario’s defense”. And it’s his program, so every aspect is “his”. But it’s kinda weird how we all say he’s a terrible coach and his defense sucks but we just kind of ignore “he” had the best offense in the history of the school. If someone had told even me, a supporter of the hire, that Mario Cristobal would have a team finish with the best offense in America by a ******* mile, I’d have suggested you get a CAT scan immediately.

I’m pretty confident he and his offensive coaches can field a really good offense. They just did. He and them deserve a ton of credit for that. He and his defensive coaches also fielded an endless sea of sewage on that side, and he and them deserve all the blame they’ve gotten.

All that nonsense to say, I’m a lot more optimistic today than I was at this time last year. I couldn’t say **** to anyone at this time last year.

We’ll see. I’m cautiously optimistic. I have my questions, like we all do, but unless the receivers are literally in total dog****, I don’t see how the offense isn’t, at worst, really good. And if you have a really good offense, it’s hard to have a total cluster**** for a team. We shall see. Football can’t get here soon enough, this is truly the worst time of the year by far.

2022 - I said WRs would cost us we should bring in help. We watched our DBs throw up more seat belt celebrations than a 7-7 tournament.

2023- I said we need to bring in a QB to compete with Tyler because he needed. We brought in Emory.

2024- I said the secondary would be our downfall. I won't go into further detail.

Last year started off for me about the record. I thought that having a real QB for the first time would give us a shot at a successful season. The way we lost those 2 games and the lack of intensity I saw from Mario when the team needed a boost shifted my reaction. We were are own worst enemy with everything on the line and I dont see a coach that can get us over the edge. Like I said if im wrong I won't hold it against me.

Year ban if we win 9?

Let’s see if he stand on it 😂
No ban bets. Bet something like he has to change his avatar to something you pick like him slurping mario for a month. He thinks it’s an 8 win regular season. I do too though I can see 7 and we could surprise and get 9 I suppose. I think ND, UF and SMU are problematic. Even if we beat the gator, we always lose 1-2 stupid games.

Agreed.

We are a Tier 2 program now which in and of itself is an achievement from where we had fallen. But there is still a massive gap between us and OSU, UGA, Texas and Bama.

And the reality is we will never be able to match the resources they have. It’s impossible, so those 4 teams in particular will always have a massive advantage over us - especially now that they have adjusted their NIL offering to meet and exceed ours.

We’ve GOT to make it to the ACCCG and CFP AND pump 10 kids into the league every year. That has to be our equalizer like it was back in the day.

Forget about staff relationships and promise of PT. With the transfer portal, none of that even matters any more.

If bags are equal, we’ve got to show that we will win and get you to the league. Otherwise, it’s going to be tough sledding for 5 stars who aren’t OL or TE.
I thought we spent more than Bama/Georgia?

You’re saying 8 wins with a fully healthy team? What am I missing here.

8 wins with this talented of a roster would be an utter failure unless it’s because Beck went down mid season or sumn..I think we are more talented accross the board then last years team overall & Beck isn’t Ward but he’s still a Big time College QB to me

Well, he’s getting paid $2.2m less after a recent raise; so ASU currently is receiving a much higher ROI at a lower investment. Which is y I’m stating stop the excuses or rationale:

Year 1: Gattis & the woeful “Super Staff”
Year 2: TVD
Year 3: Guidry & the remaining of Manny’s players

The trajectory is on par per Mario’s own words
He’s now recruited elite players & human beings
He now has a staff full of teachers & elite human beings
We spent a Bugatti on QB1 from the portal
We’re supposed to have a top 5 OL protecting that QB

There’s no more excuses left, especially at this price point & support.
i woke up in a new bugatti!

Well said. My feelings exactly.

Health is never guaranteed.
I get not being high on this program right now, but 8 wins would be a massive failure with this roster. Defense is much more talented and should be improved. Offense should be top 15-25 again with the ability to be higher if the WR’s step up. Lot of ?’s going into the season, but 10 should be the bar. 3 of our 4 toughest games are at home. We have 2 byes sandwiched between our tough 3 game stretch. I just can’t see 8 unless the wheels fall off. We also don’t play GT (I threw up typing that).

This is our toughest schedule in many years. Any other year, I would say this is a 10 to 11 win team. But, in my opinion, we will need for everything to break right for our Canes in order for them to get that many wins this season. Here is to hoping that they can finally put it all together and play and coach big time when it matters most.
