You should be concerned that we had Cam last year and we couldn’t even get to the ACCCG. We couldn’t beat Syracuse up 21 to get there, let alone the CFB playoffs.

I understand that part of it.....but I'm sure with Texas getting involved the price went up significantly.

Everything is relative. At the higher price point I'd much rather spend that money elsewhere. We're good at RB. I think Lyle is going to be a star.

You make this argument all the time but it really doesn’t hold any weight. The latter part of your post is obviously correct, this is his team now and this is a massive year. But Kirby Smart took Mark Richt’s 9-3 team and went 8-5. Nick Saban took Mike Shula’s 6-6 team and went…6-6. It’s way more complicated than just the head coach changed. ****, Deboer took over the best program in America and went 9-3, and I think they’re gonna win the SEC this year. For better or worse, it takes time to make a program yours. I’m not saying just pretend like Year 1 doesn’t happen, but it’s really not indicative of anything. Year 2 was better but he still ****ed up things like taking a knee. Year 3 was even better but we still didn’t get there.

Idk, I put a lot more stock into that than “he took manny’s team and was worse”. Yeah, that’s the literal result. But there’s a ton that goes into that.

Regardless, we all know and agree manny is an afterthought at this point and it’s imperative we continue to build. The only thing that’s gonna change narratives is to actually change them. Start winning things of significance.

Fck em, staff needs to prioritize national recruiting. Reminds me of Tyrique Stevenson when he visited a bunch of times and still went to UGA outta high school. Thankfully, he came back but Miami being a fall back plan for local kids is not an option.

Last year is last year we need to let it go..Carson Beck is no slouch and our defense “Should” be better with all the transfers we brought in.. the path to the ACC championship is right there for us we are talented enough, hopefully Mario has his coming to Jesus moment as coach this yr n we get it done..aug 31st can’t get here soon enough.

Because some of these guys on here continue to shill for Mario and blame Manny when Manny’s been gone long enough and Mario’s had every resource available and hasn’t gotten results commensurate with resources, roster, ease of schedule in a ****** conference, Cam Ward… etc.

I guarantee-****-tee and actually **** it, we all know - not naming who - that some of these same dudes abused Manny for the same results with far less resources yet somehow St. CoRchibal is treated like some kind of sacred Hindu cow because MiamiBro or whatever the motives are.

Not directed to you Skeets but the shills on the board as a whole - if we fail to even get into the ACCCG this year and you guys are still shilling for this regime, you’ll be persecuted like an inquisition and garroted.

Lanning tried and flipped Mario’s roster as fast as Mario did the same here with Manny’s roster. Lanning wasn’t thrilled with what he was left with any more than Mario was here.

I think your bottom statement is fair…I'm just a little more patient because I don't really count year 1s against any coach (**** I seldom even believe it if they are a pleasant surprise in year 1)…And that was a complete 180 culture shock between Diaz and CMC and the last Diaz class or two, especially on defense was awful.

So basically I've seen progress in each year. While Acknowledging he is a butcher on gameday.

But I agree with you he needs to be in the ACC ship this year. He has raised the floor imo, I don't think there's much doubt about that. But with his resources (which again I don't believe we are top 3-4 like some seem to think on here, but they are definitely healthy), there is no reason he shouldn't have raised the floor.

These are both true…Plenty of reason for concern

But so was the post you were commenting to…He did progress in year 3 while Diaz did regress.
