Agreed.....but i think we will need to outscore guys. For all the talk about how Bama lost a ton, we lost 3 drafted DEs and we don't have 5 starts behind them like Bama does. We got a slow LB moving over and immediately being the starter. Thats scary ****.

The answer is maybe 2. Hornibrook did have 4 TD's in the bowel game in 2017, but his yards were down, I think like 250ish is what he had.

I know Macho is going to sit on the hill acting like Cunningham torched our defense last year even though he got 2 of his 3 TD's in the final 5 minutes of the game when Miami was up 20 and rotating people like crazy.

The point is, under Manny the DC it was not a common occurrence for QB's to have career days. Not much more needs to be said.

The Wisconsin QB couldn't throw a forward pass all season but looked like 1985 Dan Marino versus us.
The Louisville QB had a really nice day too, but I was told it was against our back-ups.

But I'm not gonna sit here and debate with people about our defense never giving up career performances. That's asinine and ridiculous. We let RB's at FIU and UAB have days against us, we won't even talk about Clemson's QB or the entire UNC offense.

Why didn’t any QB torch us in 2018, Manny’s last year actually calling plays?

This! I love Machos insight on SoFla players, but I think his bashing of UM's defense (manny's in particular) is a little unwarranted.

From 2016 to 2018, when Manny called the defense teams scored over 30….

2016: over 30 once VT exactly 30 once ND
2017: 30 against Toledo, 34 Wisconsin, 38 Clemson
2018: Once, Wisconsin last game
So in 3 years calling the defense Manny’s defense let up more than 30 6x

During the regular season we gave up over 30 points exactly 1 time, 30 points twice so 30 or more 3 times in 3 years

For QBs lighting is up I’d expect more than that

Now with Baker calling plays it’s a different story

Malik looked like he learned how to pass at breakfast that day so that did not help. That game blew.
