Funny how when I was making this depth chart I wondered to myself if a few people would have a difficult time comprehending why it is written with 12 spots. I reasoned that this is a football board and surely everyone would understand that the extra spots represent starters in different personnel sets and not that we get to play with more than 11. I regret I was mistaken.
LB is concerning
DT is mid and no depth
SS is questionable
IOL has no depth
Everything else is passable give or take adding a WR1 and RB3
Why is DT mid? A former 5 star entering year 2 and blay who had 6.5 sacks and 10+tfls is mid? Moten as the 3rd guy. Y’all might want to look around cfb. You think the big programs have 4-5 proven star DTs? They don’tLB is concerning

It’s the same around cfb tho. Clemson? Their o-line ain’t all thatI wouldn't characterize the three starters as "mid" from a regular-season perspective. They should be serviceable. But they still have question marks as to how dominant they can be this season. When we were winning championships, we had guys like Greg Mark, Cortez Kennedy, Russell Maryland, Sapp, and Wilfork. Are they able to step up and be playoff level at least, and potentially dominant?
The "mid" feeling is that once you get beyond those 3 (who, again, are relatively unproven at a top P4 level) there's really no one who is reliable. If even one of them gets injured for even a partial game, our overall performance as a team could suffer. Especially vs teams like ND and Clemson if we're good enough to get that far.
Yea basically plus really we know what moten is but scott and blay are complete question marks where we really dont know what we have yet.I wouldn't characterize the three starters as "mid" from a regular-season perspective. There is a lot of teams around the country like that. That’s what y’all not understanding. Look around cfb right now at DT and a good majority of the teams are in a very similar situation we are in. They have either unproven starters or they have unproven depthYea basically plus really we know what moten is but scott and blay are complete question marks where we really dont know what we have yet.
Also one injury to those 3 guys and we are cooked. Basically the same thing can be said for Safety where one injury derails everything.
LB is just is what it is injuries or no injuries
So does Miami have proven starters or do they have proven depth? There is a lot of teams around the country like that. That’s what y’all not understanding.
