Hello,

Here is what Miami's depth chart might look like if it only included HS recruits brought here since 2016.

QB Perry -- Weldon -- Williams
RB Homer -- Dallas -- Lingard -- Burns -- Davis
FB George
WR Thomas -- Harley
WR Richards -- Ezzard
WR Pope -- Wiggins
WR Hightower -- Njoku
TE Irving -- Jordan -- Mallory -- Polendey
LT Donaldson -- Herbert
LG Scaife -- Dykstra
C Gaynor
RG Hllery -- Reed
RT Campell

DE Jackson -- Rousseau
DT Bethel -- Martin
DT Ford -- Silvera -- Miller
DE Garvin
LB McCloud -- Wilder
LB Quarterman -- Jennings
LB Pinckney -- Steed -- Joyner
CB Bandy -- Ivey -- Bethel
CB Frierson -- Blades
SS Carter -- Finley
FS Smith -- Hall

K Baxa
P Feagles

Pretty f**king good

Also, attrition has gone way down with just one HS recruit (DJ Johnson) having departed from the last two classes.

Attrition from the 2016 class:

QB Allison
WR Bruce
WR Mullins
OL Johnson
TE Haskins
DB Young*
DB Wright
DB James

If Surge19 is top 10 that will make three straight full classes with almost no attrition.

exactly. we are almost there. plus its quality depth.

This is how you build a consistent contender. Year after year of top ten recruiting classes. Getting them enrolled and staying here is half the battle too. How many 4 star guys did Golden sign that either never made it into school or were kicked out after a season or two?

A lot of those four stars were ones nobody else wanted for those exact reasons. He wasn't bringing in the type of high character blue chippers Richt is

Exactly, he would load up Latwan Andersons and Derrick Griffins to boost the recruiting rankings knowing full well that those guys were nothing but headaches and would probably never enroll.

It's amazing. In another thread people were debating if 1999 roster was more talented than 2017. Future is looking up. I can't believe how many pessimists we have. People complain about whiffing on 5 stars on NSD, Richt's playcalling and not winning a National Championship. We are improving, and we should be celebrating that. The ND game including Game Day on campus alone ought to have people hyped about the future. An IPF is coming, folks. Celebrate the Canes. Watch attendance rise.

FSU is taking the golden approach rn with getting those questionable 4 star players who just make your class look pretty on paper but has absolutely no substance

the future is looking bright people wanna complain about Richts play calling however our limitations on the o line have really handcuffed him and made it hard on the guy. Once we really upgrade that position group i think this will be less of an issue going forward

On the attrition list, 4 of those guys are gone for being idiots. Of those 4, 3 were ranked in the top 300 and/or 4 stars. I trust Richt in recruiting the "right" personalities, not just stars...this trend needs to end. Attrition due to injuries and playing time competition should be all that is listed on that list.

Attrition is the main thing. Every school is going to lose about 15% - 20% of each class. Just the way it goes. But under Golden we were up near 40%, and it killed us.

Add in scholarship limits and "kill" is an understatement.
