Deon preaching on the state of Florida football.

Also chasing after OOS kids is what got Coker in trouble. Bottom line is the defense has been very good this year, made up of mostly Florida kids. Is our defense soft? The offense is the problem, Richt's scheme and play calling is the problem. Everyone is recruiting thess Florida kids not just us.

Dumb. Asinine. Silly.

How does a state full of soft kids produce the most NFL and D1 players in the country?

How does a state full of soft kids travel to states like GA, TX, NV, CA, etc...and beat their powerhouses?

GTFOH with this BS!

It makes it easier when kids can transfer from 1 school to another every year. Most states dont allow that. They got that Bron mentality

Miami has to rely on recruiting Florida. Change our recruiting approach and we will strike out more than we do now. Not everyone is down with going away for college. Remember that kid Brown thought he had locked up only for him to decide to stay home at the last minute. Jon Richt, flying out to Oregon every week for MJJ and whiffing. If we ignored Florida kids because they are "soft" we won't be able to field a team trying to chase after OOS kids.
The stars are the gold standard... we need to do what it takes to get 4 and especially 5.

Now we go back to the coach... it doesn't make sense what's going on at QB

Rosier is your Trump card? Lol He doesn't help your argument at all. Yeah let's fill the roster with Rosiers and Bar Milos because Florida kids are soft lol What a joke.

I can tell you first hand that kids today are soft. For 3 reasons, their parents, the pussification of football and electronics. Far too many kids rather spend 8 hours on electronics than engage in physical competition. I stopped coaching youth ball because the parents wanted a glorified baby sitter and not a coach who makes dogs. alabaga plucks the top talent from Florida like you pick the best fruit at the grocery store.

LOL I agree but them boys gotta be able to take dat job from him. Think about this. Richt told Malik you will never play for me. Lol. You know he don't wanna put him out there if he had another option.

Brother... that's what I wanted a conversation.
Well everyone would agree that younger generations are more entitled than older generations and seek more attention due to social media, etc...

It happens everywhere, but it’s spread to south Florida football culture with social media attention whoring, young phenoms being bribed and coddled through optimist into HS, guys leaving their neighborhoods to go play for super teams. All of this while claiming the toughness and grit of south Florida reputation that the original stars of the U established.

There’s still kids who don’t have those issues. Bandy and Jaquan are excellent examples, but there’s a lot of guys who care about outside noise as much or more than what’s going on inside.

I will say this too its easier to form a super in south Fla. If you tried to transfer from Buford to Norcross or Buford to Tucker its gonna be hard even getting to the school. You can go from Booker T to da West much easier.

1. Focus on Florida, SoFla in particular.
2. OOS exceptions are QBs and OL. I may be wrong but Fla/SoFla does not seem abundant at that these positions.
3. OOS exceptions for highly rated players who project to high draft picks. No OOS 3-star kids unless they're under the radar and great athletes who can project to multiple positions (like David Njoku).

Recruiting is and has been the key... our long stretch of mediocre years has hurt us... Ricky's coaching and the product that we put on the field is not helping things at all. The indecision of these HS players has to be tilted with something... a lot of factors to deal with but some coaches are good at it.

HS Florida football players are overrated & soft.

We should be recruiting Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, Idaho & Montana, just like Bama, Clemson, UGA, Oh St & LSU does.

Spot on. I will add that I don't think there are less dogs than before, but the big 3 let the dogs leave the state for Clemson, SEC schools, and OSU.

I also don't have a problem with private school recruiting. However, once they choose a high school, the coaches need to let it go. Don't go grab Ingraham after he starts balling at Dillard. Don't go grab Elijah Moore after he balls at Western. Transfers are FINE, but stop forcing them. Kids are being bombarded to leave their school when they don't need too.
