Deon preaching on the state of Florida football.

Yes the culture in 2018 is soft, a lot of talk but no bite. When I was in junior high and high school you would rather get paddled in school than to go home to Dad's wrath... and you were hit three times with a special paddle that would hurt real bad leaving your butt black-n-blue for days. I got it many times... was a glutton for punishment as a kid.
Things have slowly changed where being a man isn't the same. Terms like toxic masculinity, gender neutral, participation award are now in vouge.
If we continue with this social engineering experiment, contact football may become flag football.

I guess the ones going out of state to play are the hard ones lol Give me break. Look at the coaching at the at Florida schools. Mediocre coaching is the problem. Everyone in the country is recruiting the state of Florida and more specifically in South Florida but they soft? lol Deion was an elite athlete that didn't need great coaching so he wouldn't know how important coaching really is.

Too much coddling going on. But the coaches we’ve hired ain’t bringing out the dogs either. U got Willie Taggart wearing a whistle around his neck, having kids dancing at practice. U got Mark Richt going around quoting scriptures and is OK with whichever way the wind blows. U got Mullen doing goofy pictures with recruits.

Meanwhile u got Saban running a militaristic program and Dabo using the Bible to let everyone know if u don’t win on Saturdays, you will go to **** Sunday thru Friday.

I agree w Deion, but I also see **** poor coaching contributing to this, as well.
I think it's mostly a coaching problem, and yes Saban runs a very controlled and tight ship... soft is not part of his vocabulary. Don Shula was the same way and it paid off for him.

Yall get to caught up with those out of state games. Let's look at Carol City for a sec. Yeah they look great and I'm sure they could beat a team from Texas or GA or CA. You got a kid in Daxon that played at Doral, Norland, and now Carol City. Amari Johnson was at Hallandale and left to form a high school version of the golden state warriors. Daniel Richardson left to come over to this team as well. These "3 star kids" and yall treating them like superstars. While transfers happen at some level in other places its like free agency in south fla. Yall think a bunch of kids that had to team up to beat coconut creek bout to do something when they get slapped in the mouth by Clemson??? Its talent in Florida we produce the most nfl players but we are also the 3rd most populous state. It wasn't this bad years ago man. Oh I forgot wasn't Malcolm ray somewhere else too.

Bro he also doesn't have a roster made up of a majority of FLA kids. I'm asking you to name 1 program in the mix for a title that has a MAJORITY of Florida kids. He has them sprinkled in no doubt the ones he has are good but its not a majority

So what are you saying... that FL kids are soft? Did we not have a majority FL kids when we were the U winning Natty's.

U making my point exactly its not the same as it was years ago. Its talent almost EVERYWHERE. Look at the best players on our team!!!!

G Willis
Jaquan
Joe Jack
Mike Jack
Jeff Thomas
Homer
DeeJay
Shaq
Pinkney
Garvin

We got a roster of probably 80-85 percent of Fl kids and about 40 percent of the top ten players are from out of state.

Of these ten what's the FL/outside ratio?

This cant be....3* FL players are better than all the 5* everywhere else. Dont know how all these teams keep winning without team full of FL players

6 to 4 in favor of Florida.

Lets say we close to 85 ships if 80 percent from FL and 20 percent fro OOS. That's about 68 kids from FL and 17 from OOS. Do those top 10 numbers look a little off to you???

And **** that coaching excuse cus they all getting the same coaching

Ok... but I'm scratching my head. Does it matter where you get them or is it more important what you are getting or is it more important who gets the talent.???

It matters in this regard coaching staff gotta cast the net wider. Some of these guys who have traditionally been 3 star jewels from FLA bro we gotta hunt talent. Njoku, Herndon, Berrios were some of our better players in the last cpl years. I think we cant just say oh all 3 programs have bad coaching that's why they losing.

Miami has to rely on recruiting Florida. Change our recruiting approach and we will strike out more than we do now. Not everyone is down with going away for college. Remember that kid Brown thought he had locked up only for him to decide to stay home at the last minute. Jon Richt, flying out to Oregon every week for MJJ and whiffing. If we ignored Florida kids because they are "soft" we won't be able to field a team trying to chase after OOS kids.

I think we know one thing... that CMR isn't getting what talent he has to perform the best that they can.

Jon Richt literally targeted 1 QB recruit. If that's not the opposite of casting the net wide. I don't know what is!!

Yea I'm on board with diversifying recruitment... but a good coach is IMO the best motivator of any talent.
