Deon Mcintosh

Lock him up.

Not completely sold on him as a RB yet. RB/WR type but he's the type of fast, versatile, and electric athlete Miami needs. Utility type of player. Would need quite some bulk to play RB.

Why? All the film you've seen has been him at rb. Any acclaim he has is at rb. He has been offered at rb because he's an exceptional hs back I suspect. We know he'll bulk up some, but you don't have to be big to play rb successfully, tons of evidence to support this.

Runs hard and keeps his legs moving through contact but he is not a take IMO. Burns is a definite take and a big reason I would not take McIntosh is because you never know what Running Back will emerge in south florida or there could be a good RB that was just playing behind an upperclassmen that will shine this upcoming season or the following year.

Doesn't look natural at RB. He's fast and always moving his legs but he's not a finished product at RB. He's very versatile and can play RB,WR and on special teams.

He will take a beating in college at RB unless he bulks. Size is not everything but he doesn't have enough on his frame yet. 180 might even be quite a bit too generous. He's very light and rail thin. At most 170. He needs to bulk up. I'm all for taking him but I'm not sold on him being a RB just yet.

Would be a scat back type if he ends up at RB but he is not a workhorse. He's still going to need muscle on his frame.

I want to see how he develops into his senior year as my opinion can change. Only seen him live once and he was an exciting player to watch for sure, but some others share the same thought as well as Coach Macho who has had even more extensive look at Deon than I have had.

As an athlete type. He's a take IMO.

The kid can ball. Everyone was enamored with Dex outrunning everyone to the outside, but Deon hits the hole and is hard as **** to bring down. Toughness is something you can't teach and that kid is tough. So is Richard who will surprise many.

Well, we did tell Amir Rasul he would be the only back we took. (shrugs) So maybe they know DMac is not a legit RB and he is more of an "Al Shipman/Trent Jones" type here.

I doubt they said that.... we only signed one RB. .. i think we take 2... Rasul and McIntosh..... Smith is getting alot of looks from LSU and he likes them alot..... but we are a long way till signing day 2016.....

2016 is not a great year for RBs in South Florida... 2017 is going to be real good, you got Robert Burns from Gulliver Prep, Kyshaun Bryan from American Heritage, and look out for 2017 Killian RB Bentavious Thompson... had over 1000 yards and 14 TDs as a sophmore

I don't think Miami has him as high as other backs that we have committed or on the radar right now.

I like McIntosh but I also like the elite speed that Rasul brings and the versatility and open field ability of Burnett and his ability to play corner and also I've taken a liking and appreciation more to Moss game recently than I did initially as we don't really have any power backs at Miami and he could be used as a HB.(Even though I want to see more of him at Hallandale this year before I'm completely sold)

Especially with guys in play like Fils-Aime(IMO best RB in the state), Killins who is a speed demon and can be used on area of need like special teams and could split out wide or a athletic freak like Travis Homer.

We just offered another back too that won a RB MVP I think at the opening miami in Montgomery from American Heritage Delray.

It all depends on what Miami is looking for and also who goes where and what happens.

I like McIntosh, he brings a little versatility as he can play some RB/WR and some special teams but he's also not a pure RB yet. He's more of an ATH and only so many RBs we can take. I would like to see him in the class but let's first see how everything shakes out.

It would not be devastating to miss out on him if we get Fils-Aime and a utility type like Killins to add to the class.

I also do recall him saying that just because Richard is here won't mean that he will automatically come. He said he wouldn't let that factor into his decision.

Regardless. With or without Deon, we need to land a great RB class.
