Deon Bush

His game was shocking in how poor it was. Lost some money last night. Feel bad for that kid.

Awful game...but he'll get a pass from the NFL guys if he has a good combine. Every ******* team knows our staph is garbage.

There are a lot more good games on his resume than bad. As long as he finishes strong he will be fine. That GT game can be a money maker for him, as well as the next two. VT and Clem will be good opportunities for him to show what he can do. He is a good player that missed some opportunities. As for the comment on him in HS. Well its a lot different when in most cases your the best/fastest player on the field. He may not be drafted super high, but will have a career in the league for sure.

On another note, our LB play is just plain terrible, they are too big and slow, even Grace is looking slow-er. It was a pretty good game, we just did not make enough plays. We had a lot of opportunities to get off the field, make a tackle, etc. As a whole we did not get it done. However, that is the MO of an Al Golden team. Which is why he needs to be let go.

And to be honest, if we lost this weekend, he should be let go now. Just make the move already BOT. You know you are going to have to at some point....

He's our best Defensive player, so Im shocked we overcame it.. Couple of other guys stepped up but yea not Deon's best game no doubt. He still a baller and i think he's going to have a stellar career in the NFL with great coaching

Bush is awful if the opponent has any room to maneuver. If so, any bit of wiggle is too much for him.

It's never going to change. He'll be brutally exposed in the pass happy NFL with all the sophistication. This isn't a matter of great talent without knowledge of how to apply it. Bush lacks change of direction. Unless the play is smack in front of him he can't cope.

Our touted secondary guys all have basic flaws, despite the high school hype. Burns is too leggy. I still have hopes for him but it's obvious the early freshman hopes were overblown. Howard is too small and soft and seldom finds the ball. If he does find the ball he doesn't make a play on it.

TH3 is a lot of things and can't or won't find the ball in the air.....but soft is not Tracy issue!!! TH3 has that ole U dawg in him.

I'm not a fan of TH3.....but go back and watch the game again. Other than the PI call TH3 played a **** of a football game. Didn't miss one open field tackle...as a matter of fact I don't think he missed any tackles!!

He may not have missed a tackle but he couldn't get off WR blocks to save his life. Lane and Rudolph owned him on downfield blocks. He did pretty well in coverage though.

Man he played a bad game...Very surprising......This game had to hurt his draft stock... I hope he can make it up

Have no idea why he would double down on Golson on the option play.

Bush took the QB, carter was the one who screwed up and it was he who should have taken Cook. Total fu by Carter.

Bush got there first, Carter was between Golso n and Cook. Unexplicitly CArter went left and doubled up on Golson leaving Cook unmanned.
Look at the replay.

Still dont get how fans can bash the secondarys performance based off a play or two..I thought they played **** good considering there was very little pash rush half the night. FSUs leading WR had 9 catches for 90 yards and he was the 4th WR on the depth chart. (Whitfield) Everyone else was held in check. Thats a pretty good night in my book.

The option play where he lost his assignment told me a lot about Deon Bush's efforts last Saturday. I truly believe the kid wanted a win over FSU soooooo bad that he was trying to make every play out there, even if it wasnt his play to make. He was over aggressive on that play and it cost us 7 points.

I guess I could turn this into an anti-golden rant about holding kids back, blah blah blah, but the bottom line is that the kid's, especially Deon Bush were doing everything in their power to get a win last Saturday. I salute them, especially Deon Bush!!

I honestly think that's what happened.

Was Carter even on the field on that play? I see Bush and slow as Crawford at safety unless we added a third safety, that was all Bush and Howard's inability to get off a block is a huge part of that play that isn't being mentioned.

I got the impression that he was being selfish on that option play. I think he was fully aware of Cook but decided to try and level Golston for cool points. (highlight hit)

I could be wrong but I thought I remembered him "covering" Cook at first and then coming off of him to kill Golston.

ur correct he had him but opted to go for the hitstick.......cant fault the kid though he tried to make a play.

You need to step away from the crack pipe. He would have made a play by doing his job and taking Cook. Golston was going nowhere and no matter how it was sliced. The play was going for a negative yards. He was selfish and cost his team 7 points out the gate and gave up 7 more points later on. With a poor attempt to hitstick Cook.

The latter would have most likely ended up as another FG att had he made the tackle. FSU couldn't do **** in the RZ all night.

Why do people keep making it seem as if Bush would have made the play on Cook?

Do y'all not see the FB there ready to make the block if Bush had taken the pitch man?

It looks like we ran a corner blitz from the boundary, and we got caught. The safety had to get to that receiver, and couldn't recover in time to pursue.

The only way Deon makes the tackle is if the FB misses the block ...

Watch the Vine ... Cook is running past Howard, and the FB never has to block anyone. The TE is also running free.
