Denver Kirkland is Beast. Why didn't we sign him?

he wasnt coming..coley blew his whistle....he was a silent to fsu like his boy matt thomas.

FSU laid back after they knew they had matt locked in..and dude had to run to randy....

I aint blaming golden on that one..

Golden has now become a convenient scapegoat for everything, including North Korea cyberattack on Sony, Russian invasion of Ukraine, ISIS beheadings, and the Iranian nuclear program. What won't Golden be blamed for now?

My wife left me and its Golden fault. I started beating her when we gave up over 500 yards on defense. She never got hit much till Golden came to town.

That cluster f*ck was the moment I started to realize Golden was a bullsh*t artist in over his head. The bowl game debacle against Louisville was the final straw for me.

Yep..................The Dork tried to re-offer. Strange thing to do for a FSU Silent.

Folks here are GULLIBLE.

He re-offered because of the PR backlash and Ice.

I want Golden gone as bad as anyone but this one was not on him.

Now is it his fault for not having a better back up plan? Yes. But the actual Kirkland thing was not his fault. The kid played games.

Man that myth won't die. Tried to tell folks (on prior board) that it wasn't Ice on this. Everyone wanted to bury Ice, bury BTW, bury Kirkland. Understand, Snake Oil Salesman was lying, back then some didn't know, **** that was my first exposure. But I had some inside stuff from Ice's boy and Golden was a lying spinning sack of crap then as he is now.

Kirkland, Skai, Sean White . . . nothing's changed.

Snake oil salesman.

We weren't as high as him as others, pressed him to commit on the spot. He said no so we pulled the offer. It was a small class nunbers wise and if he didn't say yes right there then him coming on signing day wouldve messed up our numbers according to who we thought was coming.

The moment we pulled the scholarship was the moment the Al golden ship started sinking IMO

Edit: I never confirmed the "he was a silent to multiple schools part" Couldve easily been true and no one can doubt the timing since after coley came on board things started shaking up.

we also did give him back the offer we pulled but everyone knew it was too late. My judgement tells me that FSU probably did not even want him that badly since he ended up at arkansas.

Close to the story I heard. The real issue here was that the staff wasn't high on him. Didn't think he'd be very good. Lots of fans felt the same way. Staff tried the same big d*i*ck move with a certain reciever in Bama. Fans here also thought our WR class was just fine without him. Can't keep letting good talent go elsewhere. I like to say we export excellent and import good. Bad mix. Didn't start with Golden but he **** sure hasn't changed it.

Short version, the staff blew it. They underpredicted his ability and overestimated there hand. Denver would be playing here now if they hadn't borked that to high ****. its typical. I like Malik Rozier, he's a Cane and a nice kid, but had they offered Treon the same kind of spot, sooner than the last month of recruiting, UF would be that much worse for it and we would be that much better for it, even if he ended up at safety/wr/cb someday. Import average export excellent. Prime example.

These guys don't evaluate any better than Shannon or Coker and thats about the nastiest thing I can say about them.

As it turns out, that is the least of any problems we have with Al. The real problem is he cannot coach.

lol at people thinking Crummie's boy was a FSU double agent. Plain and simple the dude Golden picked to lead his offense; you know the same dude who was tied at the hip to the wrong Central RB, wasn't that high on the kid and UM screwed the entire mess up in dramatic fashion. Denver wasn't going to play UM on NSD. Anyone that believes that garbage please tell me the last BTW kid to play hat tricks on signing day, while you're at it tell me the first kid also. This is on Golden and his Cuban cofee drinking homeboy always has been. Get these losers the *** out of here ASAP!!!!

The staff didn't like him. They thought he had to be "broken down and built back up" and wasn't worth the trouble. Anything else you hear is not true. Once they learned Matthew Thomas was unlikely, Kirkland was no longer a priority.

That is the reason for everything that came after.

Please keep in mind golden was doing this to an all American. This wasn't a project kid. He was a legit all America. That golden felt he didn't need.

It's a shame that we continue to spread lies on this kid to protect the staff... He double-committed then we re-offered him? That never made any sense. Who does that? We never wanted him but now he's a beast.

That's directly what I heard from a staff member. They weren't high on Kirkland at all. They were going to take him as a package with Thomas, but they wouldn't take him if they weren't getting Thomas. Things went south from there when they weren't getting Thomas. Kirkland wanted to be a Cane.

That was the same message that I got all the way thru the kid's entire recruitment. Kirkland was only getting love from the Canes because of Thomas.

Strange why FSU backed off him.

they had got a commitment from this Ira Denson kid.......

if you know fsu oline coach and his recruiting...Kirkland isnt his type of inside prospect all that much...they were selling Kirk as a package with Thomas....they knew they had 6 locked up so.........

Even more damaging then this is we knew 6 wasn't coning and still waited till NSD to offer Moore.

It's funny, because I remember around the time of that debacle, that Kehoe was not high on Kirkland. Something about him being lazy. Fast forward to two years, Kirkland's a two-year starter on a rather dominant offensive line at Arkansas. Golden will be Golden.

Kehoe is a bozo just like Golden. I can't wait for the next coach to come in and clean house.
