If I have had one ( minor)critique of Coach Diaz its been the tendency to employ too much blitzing.

Against ND we played a lot more of the base 4-3, with more zone than usual, and with less blitzing . I think this was brilliant in that it made Wimbush have to throw into more numbers than they expected, while still being able to hold down the rushing attack without selling out. The staff must have felt very confident that our front 4 could handle their vaunted O line without a lot of gimmicks.

Very nuanced approach by Diaz and one that I hope we continue to use, especially against Clemson and then whomever we draw in the playoffs.

plenty of blitzes against ND, however was not really needed against a team with no real deep throw threat and such a heavy rushing attack. We just played assignment football and beat them on the LOS

It was clear from the first play that our DL, specifically McIntosh and Norton were going to eat up their OL.

It makes me laugh reading all the ND'ers screaming for more "Power Runs"

Yeah right... LOL.

uhhh we run blitz them plenty!! we sold out of stopping the run because we didn't think they could pass.
And Diaz was right.
