When you bust coverage multiple times a game for 80-90 yards a pop it tends to make the yards per catch look like doo doo.

Is that the one when we were sitting in a shell defense asking for them to throw it short , expecting to make the tackle and a punt?Then they proceed to throw it short because nothing is open , Ivey falls ,he takes out the next defender and they run for a first down ?

Apparently they aren’t covering well for a very short period of time. We really lack talent at CB and I think our safeties are trying to do too much to make up for that which results in big plays for the bad guys.

You start worrying about the cornerback stopping the 10 yard out and as a safety someone done snuck in ur backdoor for a 70 yard Go route TD.

It's really not that hard. Kids thinking about making big plays instead of making "the play". Safeties need to tighten the heck up and stop worrying about anything else but what they're responsible for in coverage. Once we stopped the big plays, UNC could hardly score on us.

Yeah Addae has not impressed on the field or in recruiting.....at all. Big Joe I'm skeptical on as well given how DT recruiting is going...are we actually recruiting anyone?

We all know about Gattis as well, those are the 3 weakest links imo.

We'll learn a lot more on signing day and after seeing if their units improve throughout the year but not looking good so far.

The busts the last 2 games really skew the numbers but it tells the story of our dbs. They get greedy looking for picks instead of doing their job. The dl has been the best unit on the team and look at all the transfers. Seems we needed some transfers at cb as well. That and Kam to be more disciplined with his assignments.

And I know we brought Porter in and he’s been playing more. This staff thought they could be the one to fix Ivey.

Appreciate the post OP. Nice to hear all isn't doom and gloom round here. Now that the offense actually has a pulse, if we can clean up the Safety play/busts, we'll be in business.
