In the big picture, who you are playing and the stage matters a lot. Ending ND season in front of OB level crowd on national game day event was the type of magic that starts the sort of fire we need to return to greatness. Much like the FSU game, the ND game just mattered much more than any other, even Clemson. Of course beating Clemson would have got us in the playoffs, but it was still just Clemson. FSU and ND are blasts from the 30 for 30 that every kid knows about. It is that image that will impact recruiting more than anything other than actually winning the NC.
