I guess I have Romio Davis and Glen Cook PTSD lol
I always believed he was a good DC but thought personnel was his issue.
I can’t argue against the numbers you showed me so I stand corrected.
Having said that I don’t want him back. The reason for that is that I don’t want him anywhere in a position that would put him one step away from being HC here again.

He wasn’t a DC two years ago. Last season at Florida he was in the 70s for yards per play. That’s with similar talent as he has here. Just forget Shannon existed

LOL this guy. He was the linebacker coach until last year when the defense looked like ****. See where it says co-dc? That’s pretty much the same thing as Brown being co-OC.
Geoff Collins coordinated that 16 defense. Are you grown folks senile?

Yeah that’s why Collins was selected as interim coach. Oh wait. He wasn’t.

I can continue to kick your teeth in with facts or you can take your L and move on.

No P5 defense Randy Shannon ever coached has been ranked worse than 28, and 6 of his 8 were top 10.

His worst defense out ranked Manny’s best.

Exactly! Pure dog ****... toledo scored 3 td's straight.. That's not what good defenses do... Great point about the slant.
 
Manny has never fielded a top 10 defense. I think we ended the season in the 20s or 30s last year, so those thirty coaches are better right off the bat.

Also Diaz isnt a 4-3 guy. Hes a multiple front guy. We play a TON of 3-4 and 3-3 style defense with tons of zone behind it (aka exactly what everyone here hated about No D).

Nobody minds a 3-4. It’s a very effective defense, not my preference, when you get the right athletes.

What everyone hated about Onofrio was having the safeties 17 yards deep on 3rd and 1.
