Played very well today until we took our feet off the gas. I loved when we’re in 4 man fronts, but hated the 3 man looks. We cannot generate pressure out of that. 3 man fronts and dropping 20 guys in coverage is not Miami football! Especially if you’re rushing your 310 pound DT on the edge to chase a QB who can move. We need to be an attacking defense and we just didn’t do that after the first half! We played passively instead of letting Bain and Mesi pin their ears back. No way we should give a freshman QB playing his first game time to throw the ball! I don’t think we even blitzed in the second half! I really don’t recall us bringing 5 guys! Just sat back and played not to lose on both sides of the ball. We need to be stepping on peoples throats! Good win but this type of passive play could hurt us down the road
