Defense - The Future

It's actually amazing what the defense has done this season. Giving up 18ppg with 5 True Freshmen getting starters reps.

As a former player I can remember how fast everything happened as a freshman. Everything slowed down so much even by your second year. Most of the top defenses have most of their players as upperclassmen. Once we have these guys in the system for 3 years we'll be dominant again.

I don't know why these SFla defensive players aren't jumping on board. We play aggressive and you can see how much the players have improved in the last year. I was upset losing those 4 games, but I can see how much better the team is.

Last year the average score was 27-28
This year 34 - 18.

Diaz and Kool have been unbelievable this year. Can't wait for next year, the weekly halftime adjustments are so refreshing.

thank god jenkins and carter are gone. i have confidence amari, gibson, finley, wright, etc will perform much better.

Don't forget about Rumph doing a great job with a patchwork secondary and would probably have to do it again next year

An influx of talent in the secondary comparable to the three freshman linebackers could give Miami a NC caliber defense.

Was hoping to get more from Willis this season.. thought he was suppose to be a terror. Has shown little flashes but definitely behind Mc and Jr

the potential is crazy, so impressed with the FR and McIntosh. agree with CaneCounty on Willis, you see ability but he struggles to close plays. theres talent there, not a bad rotational player if that what he tops out at

Young will be pressed into a big role, im confident between Knowles/Finley or one of the incoming someone will emerge @ SS. Jaquan being able to play FS all game will be refreshing, should be the best player we've had there in a very long time
