Defense have the Turn Over Chain, Let's give the Offense "THE SMOKE"

The whole issue with a "prop" for offense is that touchdowns are (should be) a lot more common than turnovers. It's cool to see the chain two or three times a game. Hopefully the offense is scoring more than two or three times a game.

Championships aren't easy, but these "Gimmick's" have been proven to get the attention of the nation and more importantly recruits. Recruiting leads to championships. Lighten up a little, when were Winning, I'm sure you'll muster up a Rick Flar Whoo when you see the gimmick

It was actually hilarious to see how ****ed off those State Troopers were when they seen that Smoke.

We can have it going on in the opposing team's stadium after an explosive TD on OF and this will only **** their fans off.

And to take it another step further, if a defensive guy get's a turn over and scores he gets the "Chain" and the SMOKE! You can only imagine other colleges looking at this on replay highlights and deep down in their heart they would wish they played on the most exciting football team not only in College football but anywhere including the NFL.

Alabama may win now but they are down right boring as ****. If FSU break out that back pack it would be just an embarrassment in comparison like it already is. Others have a throne, nothing special. It will be funny just seeing what gimmick people will come up with just to match the excitement we have not only in our stadium but theirs as well.

Like the reporter ask Bubba Bolden is he ready to put on that chain? Shaking his head and responding "You better know it, You better know it" Now we can have something that will make OF recruits want to play at Miami...standing on the bench pumping up the crown after a big play and billowing out that The TD Smoke!

Please Manny "No More Chains" bring on that TD SMOKE!

This is going to be an unbelievable year especially when we kick the Gates ***! JMO! If you have a better ideal besides another chain, lets hear it. And Go Canes!!!

Great idea but I think Manny already has something inline for the offensive guys

Not a fan of anything other than pride stickers. The chain is great, I feel anything on that level is overkill. Great idea though. Wouldn’t be opposed.

They use smoke in the student section literally every game, so this would not be harmful at all. Obviously the fire extinguishers are altered.

This could be pretty good though. I think the best thing to do with the idea of the offensive smoke/chain/whatever is to not do it after EVERY TD or something. Maybe you only use it on the 1st TD of the game and in the 4th quarter when the score is within 14 points, and for any game winning field goal. Either way I think it's gotta be a "feel" thing, it's probably best for it to not have strict rules on when it's used like the Turnover Chain does... Like Diaz should determine if it's a good time to use it and be the one that says go or no go. He'll be able to determine best when the team needs it and it should be used.
 
How about a Touchdown Baby? Whoever scores a TD gets to hold an African baby like the ones adopted by Brangelina and Madonna.

That's like holding 13 pounds of black gold.

Not bad but it could be copied like the chain. I would prefer a Hurricane warning horn that spins 360* when sounding off.

Well just imagine a 50+ TD run or a 50+ TD catch and run. The crowd is already off their feet in celebration! Even a punt or kick return TD which could qualify for the Smoke. The opponent looking at this celebration after a big play will only help demoralize them and deflating their fans.

Point is that it should only be used for big play TDs.

And what qualifies as a big play td? Is a td thats 39 yards not a big play, but a td thats 45 yards a big play? I'd say 4th quarter TDs when the game is close is a very big play.

The Smoke is just explosive plays which would encourage the athlete to get the easy TD instead of a desperate 4th quarter close TD to get the team out of a jam.

With your question we should give a TO Chain for a close 4th down stop and the ball is turned over to the OF. Or a goal line stop with the game on the line. If you're looking to nick pick you can find unending situations and make a case out of it.

How the **** is that at all what I'm saying. What I'm saying would have the smoke maybe like 4 times a game max on average during the season. We essentially wouldn't use it at all when we're blowing teams out. And it would serve as a great way to get the crowd pumped in moments that actually matter most, you know, like in close games in the 4th quarter!

Acting like it's ridiculous to use it on 4th quarter TDs but not ridiculous to use it for big plays is just retarded.
