Dee Jay , fumbleitis

I am not worried so much a about DJ. He will work hard to correct the issue but I am concerned because it seems like it is a symptom of a much bigger problem on the offense. It started with the QB and offensive line and now has spread to the WR and RB core. All of the players look sloppy and like they don’t practice hard. It honestly seems like a loser mentality has infected the entire offense and Special Teams!

I really like DJ as a player and person but 3 fumbles in a close game are inexcusable. He was extremely fortunate he got the last one back. Was surprised and extremely disappointed in DJs performance.

Besides being a Canes junkie, I'm a Weather Channel junkie. Sabags was on yesterday being interviewed by Jim Cantore. Jim asked Sabags about preparing for inclement weather. Sabags stated that they practice at least one time per week with a wet ball to try and help the kids get used to it just in case they're faced with a wet ball during a game. This attention to detail is why Sabags has 6 NC's.

When DeeJay fumbled last night, I couldn't help but wonder if the Canes make time during practice to prepare for inclement weather.

Giving DeeJay Dallas a pass. He been a warrior for the team and he had a bad game. Ol boy even looked like he should've stayed in bed that day and he knew it.

Hope he was up at 4am in the gym and putting in work and slept with the football in his arms.

Be careful, apparently DeeJay is off limits around here.

My Dad was a high school coach for 40 years. He never got upset at a kid for a physical error. He knew those would happen. He would, however, make kids runs for mental errors. Dallas had a couple big physical errors on the fumbles, but he has been a huge help to this team. Of course, you could argue that the second and third fumble was a mental error - two arms in the rain, my friend.

The real mental errors occurred on the coaching side. The offensive game plan and the clock management at the end of the game were huge mental errors. We can't blame a kid who plays his *** off for the loss when the mental game plan by the offensive staff was atrocious.

Dallas was trying to do it all by himself and house every run since he knew he couldn't rely on the OL or staff. You see that kind of effort leading to fumbles all the time when a guy is trying to pick up an extra yard and reaches the ball out or keeps trying to churn out yards and gets ball stripped. He was in a bad situation because we had zero passing game and tried to put the game on his shoulders.

His fumbles absolutely killed us. Led to points on multiple drives

You are dead wrong. It led to 3 points and Miami retained the lead 12-10. Miami moved the ball on the next drive and Baxa's kick was blocked. Duke went 65 yards and took the lead. Duke went 3 and out after his second fumble.

He doesn't do math apparently

It's my fault, apparently I was wrong and the TD was scored off a special teams error and not one of DJs fumble's.

Still, those are 3 points, and a loss possession in a 1 possession loss. To say that 2 fumbles "isn't even close" to aiding the loss is excusing the player.

Switch the name on the back of the jersey from Dallas to Rosier & I’m fairly certain the reactions would completely different.
