Do you think Skinner would?? Brohm as the offensive guru got him 1 catch for 4 yards in 24, 21 catches for 204 yds and 2 td last year and this year on pace to crush his 22-25 seasons combined (31 catches for 350 yards TOTAL in his career) and this year he has 12 for 248. If he is still super tall and skinny and cant really block, with as little as we use TE in non-blocking roles I would question him. Popo yes he would be a step up and easily be in the 2 deep and I agree with spencer as well on certain teams and packages.

The one that still throws me off is Ajay Allen. Every time he came in the game for us, he seemed to run hard and good things happened. 4* RB out of HS, #5 overall back from On3, commits to Nebraska, plays well as a TF, we take him in the portal and Nebraska fans were ****ed. He played well for us in his role and I thought he was leaving to try to be a feature back to get more carries, goes to FIU (that move made me think he possible had a kid in Miami or something similar) but only spent the spring at FIU then goes to Tulsa, plays in all 12 games, average 5.1 yds a carry, 500 yds, team leading 5 tds and now is at western Kentucky. Just a weird trajectory.

Tommy at Ole Miss may have been a starter for us at OG or RT.
Graves at Ole Miss may have allowed us to keep Fitz at S.

This has nothing to do with what he was, but rather what he’s become. And the guy is a legitimate weapon at TE, albeit one that is not every down. It’s wrong to say he wouldn’t see the field here.

They way we use TEs, I highly doubt he would make a difference. The main objective here for TEs are to BLOCK. Skinner isn't blocking anyone.
