Found this video kind of interesting and worth discussing.

Cliff notes:
- There are twice the number of players committed now than there were at this time the past two years COMBINED
- No spring evaluation or camps forcing coaches to offer based solely on tape or previous in-person
- Schools like Minnesota and NC are near the top of recruiting rankings because they are getting in state kids that they had previously evaluated
- Some schools are offering people they usually don't
- Players are committing left and right causing classes to fill up
- This causes other players to quickly commit to lock in a spot before the class is full
- Recruits are committing without even visiting campus
- Some big schools like Alabama are still waiting to see in person (only 4 commits, ranked 47 according to 247)
- Overall, players are just committing without being 100% committed even more this year (not seeing campus, to lock a spot)
- Coaches are either not offering yet and will (taking commits from other schools) or taking players that once they see in person will take away their offer

Makes me feel good about our guys. The majority of our guys have already been here and have been committed other than Arroyo. Him and Thad are the only real concerns and Arroyo is a concern just because he’s never been here.

You think Collins is going to stick? I think if we win 10 plus games he will stick but even that might not be enough.

Calling BS here. middling ACC teams are always top 30 this time a year with 18 2-stars

Minn has a grand total of 2 players from their state in a class of 16.

Whole article/video is on point. I see people talking about kids are grabbing spots and Miami’s behind. As we all know they are non binding and a lot of these kids will decommit and recommit elsewhere

Arroyo is originally from Miami & has lots of family in South FL & has great communication with Field & Lashlee.

Once he's allowed to visit he will, Miami's TEU pedigree puts us on the same level as any major program, no TE worth their weight in salt is decommitting from Miami.

Thad is definitely a concern because schools will really work the Basketball angle with him.

Saban can go until January with four commits and still sign a top 5 class.
That's a fact.

Bama never has too many early commits, they have the luxury of picking exactly who they want so they always wait until later in the year before they fill up their class.

He is from Orlando but Grandmom lived in Miami.

Do you know why he gets D1 basketball interest? I don’t know much about high school ball #’s and saw he has averaged 9 ppg. Thanks

It's not real interest, it's teams that are recruiting him for Football using that as a ploy to manipulate him into considering their school.

He's not a D1 P5 Basketball player in college, the only reason why he's gotten Basketball offers from schools like Penn St & Rutgers is because their Football coaches are they're trying to flip him.

That would be a pretty good result for most schools, but Saban’s teams have been underperforming their recruiting ranking for at least ten years. A few years of 5th ranked classes would turn the Tide into a 7-5 team.
