A new AD is named on Tuesday. Manny calls him on Wednesday and tries to play like The Godfather by making the new AD an offer he can’t refuse. Manny offers to reduce his salary to $2.5 Million next year, let Manny and the AD spend whatever it takes to bring in the best OC and best DC money can buy, and if Miami does not win the ACC title next year, then the AD would have the right to fire Manny without paying Manny a penny on a buy out, but if Miami wins the ACC next year, Manny gets a new four year contract extension. The AD thinks it over and wonders in his mind what the CIS reaction would be to this…….

Good luck getting an OC and DC to work for Manny on borrowed time. You are basically telling them they will be fired next year. If he is not fired, it will be time to stop caring about this team. 8-4 will be our Super Bowl.

And then Mario Cristobal signs a huge $90million dollar extension & Lane Kiffin either gets hired by UF, Texas or Oklahoma or some sh*t...

Then WTF we gonna do when we go 5-7 because we don’t have Lashlee anymore???

As a poster with some rep behind him, chop the head off. Mario isn’t the only quality guy out there. Everybody here thinks Mark stoops is a good hire and would make better use of that money. Same when it comes with Kiffin. Heck, a lot of us feel Bill Clark would be awesome too if you surround him with that same money. Bill of course being a Plan D of sorts. All in all, there’s a ton of guys that are better coaches that would want this job and make football relevant here again.


Manny’s decisions are the reason we are 7-5 . From personnel decisions to kneeling with a minute left instead of going for kill shot and leaving the field goal from a true freshman( though talented ) as a last resort against UVA.

HE NEEDS TO GO AND NEVER BE HEARD FROM AGAIN.

Manny isn’t Harbaugh - a discount on something that should be on the clearance rack isn’t very special. EVERYTHING MUST GO!!!!!!

Agreed. Let’s be honest with ourselves, if Manny comes back he has two losses in September and we are firing him blowing up another recruiting class. It’s over. Please make the announcements.

This in a nutshell. Nobody worth while is taking this job because he’s a deadman walking. The past offseason is when this could’ve been considered.
 
This is not a tough decision. UM has a chance for the football team to get significantly better. The simple question is can we hire a better coach than we currently have? And the obvious answer is yes and on that basis the decision should be made.
