You are absolutely incompetent.

You created a virtual queue system for national championship ticket distribution, but failed to mention there would be any virtual queue.

The virtual queue system (other than a white stick figure slowly walking along some green bar, absent discernible measurement) also failed to provide any indication of a fan's place in line, how many people were ahead of them in queue, or ticket availability.

This system also seems to have ignored priority points entirely, which has historically been the way UM handles ticket allotments.

You also gave 2026 season ticket renewals priority over 2025 season ticket holders (making it possible for IU fans to buy priority access over actual UM season ticket holders who stood by the program this year).

Absolutely incompetent. And I say this as someone who has two tickets to the game.

I doubt IU was successful even in that priority system.

I do, too. I strongly suspect the majority of the people with success today either: (1) clicked the link early out of curiosity/anxiety and stayed logged in when they fortunately discovered there was a virtual queue; or (2) had inside information from friends/family in the ticket office (or the first group I mentioned), so they knew about the virtual queue and got in "line" early.

I was shocked it was only a two-tier priority. Imagine someone who's been a season ticket holder for 20+ years and Hurricane Club member for 15+ years, losing out on tickets so someone who donated $100 to Hurricane club last night to get in the same queue. Crazy...

I had been on the website since 9am. Never moved past 3 bars, I was automatically redirected to the queue. Being in early didn’t help at all

That's weird. I logged in around 11:56am and my little dude got to just under 50% before getting the sold out message. But the message during the "countdown" definitely said your place in the queue was based on when you accessed the website.

That is more of a reality than you think…

I think hurricane club was first priority which means Indiana fans had to make a donation. but yea if they let them get tickets they are idiots. and the lack of notice about the que was insane.

I am an alum, have never been a season ticket holder, but have donated to Hurricane Club. Every single season ticket holder should have been given priority before me.

The Queue-it system is a randomized lottery. Everyone that got in before 12 PM EST drew a random number. Priority didn't matter.

They could have rewarded loyalty and still used it to raise more money by limiting the sale to 2025 Hurricane Club Members/2025 Season Ticket Holders who also renewed for 2026. However, they chose not to.

The national championship ticket software is 25 years old. They just found an old windows 95 pc in the back to load it. They will update the program this offseason.

Reading that it was a randomized lottery actually makes me more upset. They could have done as you suggest as a way to reward current season ticket holders while still incentivizing renewals, but affirmatively decided on a different path. Short-sighted and somewhat inconsiderate of the fans that actually attended the games this season.
