speed was a big question during his recruitment, would love to see a 40/100 time...not that he can't be a player without that

Considering he’s 6’1 182 and ran a 4.64 at the opening im not worried about his speed tbqh. We just saw Michael Jackson who was 6’1 189 in highschool and ran a 4.65 go all the way down to a 4.45 at 210 while in college. In addition to redwine dropping from a 4.77 to a 4.44 by the time he left Miami

**** did not know it was possible to drop that much time in a 40 from 4.7 to 4.4 that’s crazy

Some of these kids have limited experience running these timed tests, don't wear proper shoes, have injuries, run in bad weather conditions, etc. Yet you have prominent posters/mods here who base most of their evaluations on these tests smh.

It's no surprise when kids improve their 40 times by 0.4s+ from HS to the draft.

Anyways Christian Williams is an excellent CB prospect regardless of his 40 time.

Ya Ya I know all that...It also doesn't work like that for everyone, which has also been discussed ad nausea on this board.

Proof that you can teach speed.

Anyone who says otherwise is retarded.
Exactly....kids like Ivey and Blades could benefit from off-season speed training or track.... resistance (band work) training is one of the main reasons there are so many fast kids across the nation ...Greedy Williams ran a 4.64 in HS ....4.37 NFL combine....also, some kids don't train during the off-season in HS causing them to run slow times....

This kid is going to play early! He just looks like a typical Bama CB - long, fast, tall, and light skinned lol

My nephew lead Broward in rushing in the 70's. He was slow playing in LL so a trainer told him to go to the beach and run sprints in the sand...made him super quick....
